i forgot to add our Schnorkie (he's half Yorkie so he still counts I think) he was named Scooby at the pound, so my son won out on naming him Scooby Doo. When we got there to pick him up he was so small my son looked at him and looks back at us and says, "he's just a Scoob" how cute is that! After a little bit his name took a turn to Scoobers as he was a lil "goober "after we had him a bit. So in some faction he is twice named and renamed after Scooby Doo, for a Schnorkie he took on the size of his name sake growing three times his estimated size! |
Genesis and Jethro Tull Yes. Our 1st - Raelle, is taken from the classic 1974 Genesis album - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. The main character in the concept is "RAEL". With Raelle being female, we felt it necessary to modify an already favorite name. As for our 2nd - Orion, Jethro Tull wrote a song by the same name, which pays homage to the distant star sign. So with Orion being the bigger of the two, we felt it appropriate to give him a name with some strength and character, however, based on how he turned out, we've nick-named him - Bowser, because of his "bull-in-a-china-shop" approach to daily things.... |

Geno is named after Evgeni Malkin of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Geno is a nickname of Evgeni that everyone in Pittsburgh uses when referring to him. I had out-of-towners baffled when I told them Geno was named after Malkin. I guess I did not realize that Geno was a name Pittsburghers had given to him and is what all the Pittsburgh sports announcers call him. lol |
Ruby is named after some demond on Super Natural series on then WB network. It's a DH thing.... It does match her personality sometimes and her eyes glow red not the tipical green! |
