How often do you Bathe your yorkie/s? ??????????/ do you use shampoo and conditioner everytime? blow dry? |
I bathe him twice a week-and no, we have no issues with dry skin or flakes..............lol He uses conditioner unless it's with minksheen. He doesn't get blow dried (only in the winter). |
I bathe my baby ever sunday and i use conditioner and i blow dry everytime. If not hes gonna jump on the sofas and rub his wet little body on it  |
I give Abby a bath about every 3 weeks-1month (she's still a puppy). She does't like baths so to make them shorter i use garnier fructis leave in conditioner once she's out. then brush and blow dry her everytime. Question... I know that when they are puppies you shouldn't bath them to often, b/c they can't produce the oil-stuff (i'm not sure what its called??) fast enough. But when should you start bathing them more often? |
i used to shampoo/condition/blowdry. but now he's cropped, so i can just shampoo. maybe i should get some conditioner again. when it gets colder i might start blowdrying. |
Miko and Emma get bathed every 10-14 days. They don't go outside much, so they never really get dirty. I use shampoo and conditioner everytime, unless I use Minksheen. I always blow dry their hair. And I use Bless the Beasts Fur Polish Pomade after their baths sometimes... |
Show dogs every 4 days, all others once a week. Hot oil treatment, Shampoo, conditioner and blow dry. |
Zada gets a bath once a week. She has a silky coat that's never oily. Azrael is bathed every fourth day because she tends to be a bit oily. She has the cotton coat. They get a hot oil treatment once a month during the summer and on bath days in the winter. I use shampoo and conditioner, plus a spray that makes brushing a snap. I only use a blow dryer (low setting) in the winter if it's cold. I prefer air dry while brushing. |
usually once a week, right now about every week and a half because they got summer's cuts because of the heat. We use Minksheen, so no conditioner. No blow-dry here, just air dry. I do blow dry in the winter when their hair is longer and it is cold out. |

It's like a leave-in conditioner/oil type product :) You only need to put a drop in your hands, rub them together and put it on their hair. It works really well, but I'm going to be giving almond oil a try. http://www.blessthebeasts.net/btb_online.html |
Morgan gets in the shower every saturday with me. Biogroom oatmeal shampoo and occasionally i use pantene conditioner. she really doesn't need it. |
I'm the one that said whenever she is dirty which is funny cause it's at least once a week or twice a month - depending on what she gets into. Izzy has silky hair and when I do give her a bath I use the almond shampoo and conditioner with blow dryer. JB Pet golden almond shampoo I use and the condition and spray. |
Izzy has such a cute face!! :) |
My babies get bathed once a week, on Sunday's :) |
Once a week...shampoo with conditioner and Johnson's No More Tangles spray. Blow it dry. |
Dior and Diesel get a bath once a week, either on Saturday or Sunday. I use Minksheen which I love and twice a month I deep condition with Fur Butter.:) And i also blow dry them both. |
Bud gets bathed every other Fri night with Minksheen. He is never out except to go for a walk so he stay's clean. He always is so soft and smells so clean. |
Usually once a week, occasionally more depending on if they get really dirty. I use pantene shampoo and conditioner on them. I've tried loads but pantene seems to be the best, I can't try minksheen as you can't get it over here. |
Katy is a tom boy at heart. She loves to play outside and at daycare with all the other pups, so she gets a bath twice a week. We are using Milksheen and we don't have any issues with dry skin or flaking. |
I give them a bath once a week with shampoo and conditioner if needed. |
I wash Cozy once per week or at least try to. Some weeks she gets a bath almost every day. She loves the dirt and with 1 acre of land there is a lot of dirt and filth to find. |
Sophie and Tucker get a bath once a week, with Minksheen only. I blow dry their hair with the low heat setting on my dryer. |
JD Gets a bath every two weeks, pantene shampoo, and a doggie cream rinse for his long hair, I blow dry and have no problem with dry skin. He runs and hides on me when it's bath time, but once I have my hands on him he's real good with his bath routine till I'm done.. |
I give Wickett a bath every 7-10 days. He gets puppy shampoo and doggie conditioner every time. He needs it because although his hair is thin, he's got a TON of it!!! I've been blow drying him for the most part, but he hates it so I'm thinking of letting him air dry. Spoiled pup! :animal36 |
Siu Pao has his bath once every 7-10 days. I then blowdry with low setting. I have to carry him in my arms while blow drying. No conditioner just Emu Oil spray (brand:Kalaya) which makes his fur soft. |
I voted whenever they are dirty. Winston goes to a groomer every 2 weeks, but I give him a bath in between whenever he is dirty!!! |
Is the hot oil treatment one for dogs or the one for humans? Just curious. |
I bathe Squeak once a week - Since I'm a "stay at home Mom," he likes to go out every 3 - 4 hours and check "his" territory. They say when they're neutered, they get over the territory thing but not Squeak. I use conditioner on the ends of his coat, take him outside and comb him dry during the summer months. He LOVES it. In the winter, I plug in a small heater and comb him dry in front of it, sitting about 3-4 feet away. He'll let me use the blow dryer but he doesn't like it. I alternate shampoos -during the winter I use Epi-Soothe and use KetoChlor in the summer. I use Frontline Plus, dosage cut in half per our Vet because he's right at 6 pounds and she said any of the flea and tick treatments are too strong when given at full dosages. She refused to put him on the Advantix because he has proven to be sensitive to a lot of medications. When we first used Frontline, he got sick and the vet said the full dosage was too strong and, since he does well with the halved Frontline, she didn't want to chance the Advantix. He does have allergies and will get a crusty spot once in a while. Since he doesn't know what a flea is  (thank goodness!) the Vet seems to think the allergies are from the grass because he spends a lot of time outside (on a leash and harness, of course). The KetoChlor works great for skin irritations. |
I bathe Pepper every 7-10 days, usually it's every Sunday night, with conditioner and blow drying |
