We use disposables for overnight potty, and during the daytime they go outside. |
We use the disposable ones .... |
Stedman doesn't use puppy pads, but Tatum does when it is really wet and rainy and nasty outside, because she will run all through the puddles and get SO messy  When she does use them, she uses the disposable ones ;) |
Disposable ones..for now (she's 9 months) Also, I'm lazy..hehe |
I'm really working on Izzy going outside but since she's only been with us 8 weeks we are half pads half outside. She was pad trained from the breeder and now I use the Nature's Miracle disposable and then I did buy two that you can wash but I haven't used those yet. Izzy is 7 mos. old and there is no way she is going to hold it all day while we are at work - and she is only 2.4# so her little bladder can't hold that much all day so I'm happy that she will go on her pad in her pen while we are not around. |
The only ones I've found that don't smell are the Arm & Hammer ones. I get them at Target. |
Disposable Arm & Hammer Target. They also go outside. |
Disposable is the way I go. Seems like to much work for washable. |
Disposable. I use the little stinker brand. I like them because they're antibacterial! i'll have to try the arm & hammer brand! |
arm n hammer disposables from target = <3 |
I love the washable ones! They never leak! They don't slide all around the floor and they don't tear them up! I use reclaimed hospital underpads and put cute new tops on them. That way they are decorative as well as useful. Here is a link to a picture of them ones I make. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90173 |
I use simple solution puppy training pads. |
I voted washable.....but that is really our backup. All of ours go outside to potty - they have their own little yard off the patio. But we keep the doggy door closed at night and when we are not home....so them they have the washable pads down and they are great! Just fyi.....I would recommend the washable pads from www.piddlepads.com. We bought a dozen 2 1/2 years ago and most of those are still being used and in great shape. (The few that are no longer used were destroyed by my brother's daushaund (spelling) that chews up everything.) |
Morgan is 98% percent trained to go outside. However when i started a new job and was gone for a longer period of time she started having accidents in her pen so i bought the washable ones from beyondspoiled.com. she refused to use a pee pad in her pen so she learned to hold it longer until i came home. so no more accidents :) |

We have almost the same situation here. First- Brodie is terrified of outside. That said, he will potty or poop on the kitchen tile. Always on the kitchen tile. I have no idea why. He can be in the office and will take off for the kitchen to potty. So we are working on the pads. He is doing great though. I am greatful that he at least was going on the tile. Makes clean up a piece of cake. And for what its worth, he has never had an accident in his crate....YEAHHHHHHHH |
