Hi My baby is 18 yrs ..I have only had her 10 yrs (i think)...I have just loved her and normal vet appts. .. I think though she was always so sick when I frist got her and I got her teeth pulled. (she has only one now).. she became a new puppy after that. I believe teeth is a big issue with these little ones..So I am really trying to keep my other young ones teeth clean and healthy. mY 18 yr old after that went on soft food..Alpo (chicken and rice) I do not know if this is a reason for her health and long life. But her age is catching up with her now.. Sorry it took me so long to answer this I am haveing computer problems I need a new one |

My Abby was almost 14 My Abby was 2 weeks of being 14 when she passed away last month. She was very active and healthy until 2 months before,she suddenly couldn't hear and lost her sight. We tried desperately to keep her spirits lifted because she was a survivor. We tried!! |

16 1/2 yrs My Cassie was 16 1/2 years old when we lost her in June. People have asked what we fed her that she lived so long. I always said "anything she wants". Maybe she would have lived even longer if I had known about this forum and had known more about what they need. She ate the only dog food we could get her to eat, Kibbles and Chunks. We had to pick out the Chunks first for her then she would eat the Kibbles. She trained us very well from the first day. She ate from the table but mainly veggies like green beans, and fruit, loved apples. So no good advise on this topic. Just loved her beyond reason. Hopefully, the two 1 yr olds we have now will out live me. |

I just took in a 13-15 year old male. His hearing and eyesight aren't too good and he has no teeth left. The lady I got him from only had him 2 years and she got him as a rescue with no history. |
My boyfriend's family lost their beloved Yorkie, Fiji, last year. She was 14 years old. We named Diji after her with an original twist. ;) Diji is almost 4 months. |

Peek a Boo turned 13 in Dec 09. Sophie Anne passed in 2000 at 16 years old. Sophie ate grocery store brand dry and canned and loved pizza. We're trying Peek a Boo on a healthier diet so we'll see. |
