is your yorkie ..... does any or all of these & you had him or her since a puppy |
None of the above. They got a little weird (but not aggressive) with our friend's Yorkies but we've figured out that was a hormonal thing. They're fine with everyone else. |
silly i had to make the poll lol |

lol... |
The only thing either of mine do is pull on the leash. Hootie pulls on the leash, but Hobbs doesn't. I have had both of them since they were itty bitty pups. |
Pete likes to bark at people when they come in our house, but it just takes a minute of smelling and then he's their best friend. He'll also bark or growl at people who walk by our house, but this behavior only happens at home if we're in public he never barks or growls. So I guess he's protective, allthough Ive been trying to change this before it becomes something else but Im having no luck. Any suggestions? |
Ted E. Bear likes to protect me from that mean old vaccuum cleaner, for which I am truly grateful!!! Lola could care less about anything except noises that she hears in the night, then she perks up and gives a little gggrrrr under her breath. Oh yeah, they both like to bark at the doorbell - can't forget that one. |
Bump... |
The girls always bark when someone comes to our house....so I guess you can say they are protective, but the minute they step in the door they want to lick them! |
For Rocky it always depends. Sometimes he'll lung at someone when he's on the leash, sometimes he'll try to go by other dogs, sometimes he'll try to chase kids on skateboards. But he's ALWAYS protective of me! |
well let me tell you, shes a terror when she sees someone on a bike, , skateboard or someone just holding a broom... she lunges alright.. shes just a crazy doggie..... she lunges so much that i dont have to get her nails clipped cause they file themself on the concrete when she does this.. happens every single day... shes nuts i tell ya |
mine is none of the above which isn't an option |
lol Lillian drags on the leash when I take her for a walk..she looks like shes moping the pavement. |
None of the above. Mine are all pretty well trained with starting the day the come home. The only thing they do is bark when someone is at the door, but they quiet down really quick. |
Cooper lunges and attacks the vacuum and the broom...oh boy the broom...it is ridiculous!! I have to put Cooper up now when I sweep, it is so bad...so now Carley has started to attack the broom FOR Cooper (she never did before)...my house doesn't get swept much:p |
I never know what will happen. Everyday is a different day. Most of the time he ignores people, bike, skateboard etc he couldn't care less. There are times he will actually lunge at someone. Maybe they smell or something! Who knows? Big dogs he does not know he would go after, no problem. He thinks he is a rottie I guess. We are still working on this behavior. We are making progress in this area. He actually ignored a white pit bull this morning and he usually wants a piece of him! Buddy has many friends big and small. He has a "thing" with unknown dogs though. I really am confused with him. He is so wonderful, smart, behaved and trained however I never know so I am always alert. :D Carol & Buddy |
Ferdinand sometimes pulls on his leash. But it's a rare thing that he does. |

Too funny, that same mean old vacuum cleaner entertains my girls. They both race it to see who can get on it first! |
Well, how about all the above. But at times and only when he's being a butthead! He will pull on the leash if we are going to my daughters, cause he an't get there fast enough to play with Libby. He barks at everyone outside our door or yard. Not a mean bark just a warning. He does not like other male dogs, but he will play with some, no problems. He is very protective of me, but when approached he will back off. He is a great dog, I just have to be careful and alert. He is only a year old and I hope he will mellow as he ages. I love him to pieces. Flaws and all. |
None of the above. Kitty is a very well behaved yorkie.:) |
Only pulls on the leash. Well, he didn't until I got him rectractable one, I guess it's my fault ? :D . he stops once a little tired... |
None of the above. They go a little crazy when a new dog is around, but only BC they want to play right away... And with people they go crazy wanting to give them kisses and be petted by them.. Not in a Aggressive or Biting way... |
None of the above. She is not agreessive at all! |
none does wagging the stub or jumping rolling around count? |
Mojo is protective of me (only me) when it comes to men that he doesn't know - he will bark at them and maybe bite, I don't know.....he has never had the chance to. When he is on the leash, sometimes he will pull, it just depends on what the circumstances are, but generally, he does good on his leash (which he isn't on his leash often). |
Sadly, Trixie has never been on a leash...I tried to put her on one not long ago and she just froze and got all stiff.:( |
None of the above. My dogs are very well behaved -- mommy's little angels. :D |
Well if lunging at people to kiss and lick them counts then yes Ninna does that to everyone!! |
