Do you prefer your Yorkie's ears up or down? Just thought I would take a poll. Do you prefer your Yorkie's ears up or down? My own personal preference is down, as they seem to be more expressive that way (just my opinion). How about everyone else? |
I either prefer them up or JUST like Tia's - one up, one down! :D |
i actually like both . . . ;) some yorkies with ears up and others with ears down, cause i like variety. i wish there was an option on the poll for "either way" :p |
I am like you. I think there is more expression with their ears down. They are precious. The first thing I asked my vet was what do I do about Hercules ears. He always says - Leave his ears alone. Every time I would take him in for his check up. He would laugh and say his ears are fine. His wife has two Yorkies - one has ears up and on has ears down. :) |
I wish they could do both depending on their mood... cause when a yorkie is happy their ears should be up high because it shows how they feel... but when they are tired or have they "oops! I did something wrong" face :embarasse then its way cute to have their ears down... I guess what I am saying is I like them both ways! |

it really doesn't matter to me. i wish nala's would have stayed kinda half up half down or one up and one down. i think that just looks too cute. |
I like them up.. the perky ears is one of the physical attributes that drew me to the breed so it was something I really wanted in my Yorkie and she has super cute perky ears. :aimeeyork |
I prefer both. My males are up and look cute. My females are down and I hope they stay that way. She looks like a little teddy bear with her ears down. |
??? My yorkies ears are mostly up, but sometimes I catched them down. Does this mean that they could change or is my little princess tired or unaware? |
Don't you think that when the ears are down they lose the beautiful Yorkie look ! Also if you want to keep the ears up the top half of the ear has to be trimmed right down and using small mustache type trimmers does a great job. |
I like the ears up becuase it looks cuter and I heard of breeders who tape trhe ears to stand up:)! |
My female's ears are down; my male's ears are up. I love them both! |
