Just wondering how you all found YT.

I was doing some search on yorkies info and found it that way. been on here pretty near everyday since. I think I jumped right in, I can't remember.

and did you jump right in or read lots of info first?

I then came on here and asked if anyone was selling any and I found my wonderful loving Starsky from someone one here. I have been on here ever since. For about a year and a half. Now I am getting my second yorkie. I love this site. I get all my questions answered and there is so much support on here. I feel everybody on here is my friend. I LOVE YORKIE TALK!!

WAY Back in 2004 when I found this site - there were NO yorkie sites out there except for a few - I did post on one that had server problems and searched and found YT:)

Back then YT was TINY - the few members - Fasteddie - Higgensmom and Bettyeanne (and a some others) were JUST AWESOME and welcomed me so nicely that I felt right at home -

the site was small then - but very friendly - and LOOK AT IT NOW !!!:eek:

Ditto.... looking around and found this site and through this site I have my 2 furballs!!! I found Gizmo first fell in love and was looking for a playmate for him and that's where Denise (ldenise ) came in and helped and we have been good friends ever since! Great site and really good people!

I was searching for Yorkie training tips and found the site. I joined immediately and haven't looked back. I can't believe I had Sissy for 5 months before I found this site!!

I found YT when I had my first baby Lucy.... I was looking for information about hypoglycemia in small breed dogs and up popped this site..... It helped me out alot with dealing with my baby and has given me sooooo much more information....

I was searching for yorkie related "stuff" and stumbled on this site. The thing I like about this site the most is that everyone here seems like they're real people. You get to see pics of puppies, older dogs, family shots etc. AND it doesn't look like the people went around cleaning and dusting before they take pictures. There's dust bunnies under sofas, little bits of stuff here and there, Yorkies with long hair, short hair, bad hair days, lopped ears, standing up ears, short tails, long tails, no tails. You read about peoples good days and bad days. Weddings, graduations, run-in's with in-laws, run-ins with neighbors, just plain ol' stuff. I love this site! Only time I ever have a problem with it is when it makes me late for work!! Like right now!!!

well i have been looking for a little sweet furbaby for a long time. i cannot afford the high prices thats some are going for, so i am here looking for a baby that i can afford or that someone is willing or wanting to give away to a loving person

I was also doing some research when I found YT. I belong to a website called Goattalk.com where I go to find info on my goats. I have found that message boards like these give the best info! Mainly because it comes from real people. Plus, people have so many different ideas of how to handle situations and it really helps me get new ideas.

Well I was dumber then a box of rocks!........lol
I was searching for info on yorkies. I wanted to raise them but articles and books werent enough. I didnt want to bother my breeder friends 8 times a day (so they could hate me!)
I found one site, I typed in a question and didnt get a response at all for hours. Then by chance I found yorkie talk, I joined, asked a question and it was responded too immediately. I just couldnt beleive it.
"YORKIEROSE" was one of those first who responded. (but thru time there have been many helpers, too many to count!)
Anyway I was looking for live info. I have been taught excellent info on this site.
I have got mad at this site, mad at some of the posters, and they got mad at me!!!!
....But truly I found this site and always come back. I dont have the time I wish I had to participate like I once did. Maybe someday(you poor folks).
I love yorkies. My family doesnt want to hear and talk yorkies 24 and 7, but here people listen.........where else could I go and people ask to see updates of a failing puppy? Show pictures anytime I want? Just vent? Or try in some way to help with a yorkie?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!! "The good 'ole days!!" :p It was tiny and just a handful of us talking among ourselves! I found it when searching for even more info for Toto. Our vet and breeder were sooooo patient and answered all our questions. But even with all the books, etc. that we read and everything we thought we knew, we still had even more questions. Then we found YorkieTalk and after awhile realized that we didn't know "jack"!! :) We have learned so very much and probably kept from killing our little angel! I am just so thankful that we can come here and ask anything we want to know ... granted, we get different points of view sometimes, but at least we feel that we make informed decisions for our little one!! ;)

bettyeanne & red98vett, you old timers you, I think it is time for you all to surrender your pooches to me. :grin2:

you guys were just a few months before me. It would be interesting to know how many joined YT in each year. It has really boomed since I first joined.
