Tick & Flea Control What product do you use?:animal36 |
We got the new Advantage multi this time. Vet recommended it. I am hoping it helps keep the fleas at bay for the whole month! |
Other. Both Frontline Plus or Sentinel as needed or when I think they may pick up fleas.. |
We are using Advantage Plus this year, we were using Frontline but bit was not working. The Advantage is a topical with heartworm and flea protection |
Other We have been using Vectra per our vet recommendation. |
I use Comfortitis & Sentinel HW preventive. |
Revolution is what I use and Ark Naturals with Neem oil for outdoor playtime. |
Have always used Advantix with good results until this year, the fleas are horrible because we didn't have a winter, my vet recommended Adams flea spray, and it is working so far:thumbup: |
Have always used Advantix, too. I'm not willing to change. It works and it doesn't make her sick, so I feel safe with it. |

I use an all natural recipe ...10 drops of lemongrass oil (repels ticks and fleas) 10 drops of peppermint oil (repels fleas)10 drops lavender oil,(repels ticks, fleas and biting insects. and 1 cup of water. |
There is no choice for "none" so had to choose "other", as, knock on wood, we haven't had fleas in our area for over 16 years! |

Advantage Multi! I like being able to prevent fleas, heartworms and intestinal parasites at the same time with one medication. I have also been happy with Revolution in the past, however. |
We have always used the Revolution and had excellent results with no issues. |
We used to use Frontline, but I felt there was too much in the tube leaving her fur very greasy looking. It also made her act strange whenever I put it on her. This year, we switched to Advantix 2. It's not as greasy, but she still acts strangely for a day or so after I apply it to her. Anyone else have issues with their Yorkie from these things? |

His behavior consisted of hiding crawling low and scurring from place to place in a slightly paniced but not severe state. I evealuated the behavior because it didbt last beyond the medication drying andwas absent of any slin reaction to be a specific dislike of the treatment itself. About a year after frobtlibe plus usage Elvis got a lesion and I treated it with triple antibiotic ointment he reacted the same way. I think its the feeling, smell of something weird on them etc...as long as it doesnt last over 24the hours or show any really concerning behavioral reactions or skin hair adverse reaction. Elvis also acted the same way with any topical aids to pull this brows and nose gairs into a top knot. |
