So I voted "what the heck is frito feet..." -- and then I clicked on the link describing what frito feet is! And now I know that three of my four furbutts have frito feet! I've always loved to smell their little feet especially if they've just woke up, I just never knew there was a "technical' (LOL) name for it! I always told my husband their feet smelled like crackers...now I know its called frito feet! So funny! |
Two more here with frito feet. The funny thing is we are all smelling our dogs feet. I think thats the sign of a true dog lover |

Frito Feet Well, I have 2 dogs with Frito Feet. My Weimeraner and my yorkie. Frankly, not a fan of the dorito/frito feet smell. My Golden has nice smelling feet ;) |
I was so confused years ago when I read about the topic of frito feet, but after reading about it, I decided I had to check Sasha out myself and indeed yes she has frito feet lol. |

Buster has serious Frito Feet. Maggie has none. Is it a medical condition? I like the smell of fritos so unless it's a medical condition I don't care. I think I'm the only one that smells his feet anyway. |

More like Doritoes! I agree with Chachi! We are true dog lovers when we are all smelling our dog's feet!! After reading the whole thread to my husband, he said that maybe this is just a trick to see how many people will smell their dog's feet!! After he smelled Penny's feet, he said "It's not Fritos... it's more like Doritoes!!! LOL :D |

All of mine have frito feet EXCEPT the rescues. What does that say??? hmmm. That the home raised, supposedly loved and healthy dogs have fungus and the rescues don't. Doesn't that beat all. I love the smell of frito feet. I guess I'll start rubbing the newbies feet on the oldies feet and see if we can't get this fungus passed on.... |
both do and i LOVE the smell...it's a yeasty smell, i smelled it a lot on dogs at the vet i worked for. i miss that smell sometimes when i don't smell it often, but luckily both my dogs have frito chili pie feet |
To Nana911... All of 4 my dogs have Frito feet & they are all rescues (2 came from puppy mills)!! I'm not sure why some do & some don't. At least it's better than "Vinegar" feet... shewwwww weeeee!!!! :tongue4: |

OK, I'm a freak. I made everyone smell my Brandy Girl's feet during the Christmas Holiday. They thought I was nuts. I kept telling my husband that I loved her smell. I didn't realize what it was. Fritos are my favorite snack and I just love her Frito Feet and I totally understand why. |
I have smelled Winston's feet time and again, still no Frito feet. I wonder if there's ever been a study done to figure out the reason, why do some have it and others don't? I'm beginning to think I'm doing something wrong...I want to smell Frito's, darn it! Maybe I'll have someone else smell his feet, could be it's just that I can't smell it! |

Princess did not have frito feet til the day she came home from her spay...then i had to wait 2 weeks to bathe her! i swear they must have taken her right off the operating table & placed her in a bag of fritos to recover! but it doesn't stop me from kissing them, as long as i don't think of where they've been! :P |
