I paid $900 w/full AKC for my Piper Cub. Found a male cheaper but fell in LOVE with Piper so the extra money was worth it. I'll get my girl from the same breeder in the future. She'll be $1200 I believe. |
We paid 500€ for Bender. We found him shivering at a pet store, very small and scared, and had to save him. We lived in Austria at the time, and Bender was born in the Czech Republic. When we bought him we were given no pedigree paperwork and simply told he was 3 months old, as listed on his shot record. He weighed about a pound. We took him home, cleaned him up and then took him to get checked out at the vet a few weeks later. Well, the vet told us that, 1) Bender was only about 8 weeks old, 2) We were lucky he was alive 3) We were also lucky because he was beautifully marked and was going to be very petite in size. My husband and I felt horrible, because we had been trying to potty train him for the past week (since we figured he was almost 4 months old we took him for long walks to try to make him go outside, and it was very cold and a bit snowy). We never figured there was anything wrong with him, because even though he was miserable in the pet shop, a couple days after we brought him home he was well on his way to becoming the sweet, energetic, snuggle machine he is today. He grew up to be very pretty and weigh just a little bit over 4# and he never changed colors, except for a bit of light color coming in around his face and paws. We have a forever puppy and it thrills us! He loves children, just wishes he could take every person on the street home with him :) His 2nd birthday is coming up December 15th! We are VERY lucky parents. |
Bailey was an accident, so they just wanted to find them homes, and get his momma fixed,,so he was a bargain at $375.00  |
Well years ago maybe 12 or 13 years we bought a yorkie Bailey from a really good friend of mine. She only charged us $100 AKC registered. We only had him a couple of years and he got ran over. Then when we got Mollie last year from another really good friend of mine she was $500 AKC and worth every penny then some. |
Cost I lost my mother in April of this year. One of her 5 yorkies was due in May. I got one of my moms puppies, and it means the world to me. :) |

We payed $500 for Tink and she is AKC |
Both my dogs are AKC registered. My maltese Codie cost $1,000 and my Yorkie Katie cost $1,200. They are MORE than worth the price I paid and I would easily have paid double for them. They're so sweet and gentle -- I'm just crazy about them! Plus, Codie has sexy legs. :p |
My first yorkie girl, Little-Bit, ckc, paid 400.00. 2nd yorkie girl , Meggie, ckc, paid 700.00 3rd yrokie girl, Tori, akc, championship ju-gene bloodline. paid 1,500, my akc male, Roscoe, paid 600.00 I am very happy with all of my yorkies and certainly would have given more for each of them if necessary. They are sweeties! Little-Bit, just presented me with 4 great puppies, all with great markings and beautiful silky coats. :) Little-Bit, Meggie, Tori, and Roscoe's Mom |

I paid $400 for Zoe from a breeder and $400 for Bailey from a Pet Store. I thought that was a lot of money for them 6 years ago. But now I have a friend who is looking for one (her 3 lb girl was killed by a chocolate lab last year) and she can't find one for less that $1000. My husband says anybody is crazy to spend that kind of money on a dog. I tell them they are not dogs they are like my children. They sleep in the bed with up every night (his fault-he didn't want to listen to them cry). He is just as crazy about them as I am he just won't admit it. |

i recently paid $1500.00 for Frankie. ...worth every dime. ;) |
I payed $650 for Bonnie. She was 2 1/2 yrs old. She had been bred one time, but wasn't a good Mommie, so the breeder was selling her. I bought her for my Mom, who had always wanted a Yorkie, and was basically homebound as she had had a stroke in March of 2004. She was so excited about getting Bonnie, she just wanted someone to sit in her lap that she could love and take care of. She looked forward to brushing her hair and dressing her! We had to wait a little over a month before we could get her, because she had to wean the only surviving puppy, then be spayed. Unfortunately, my Mom had a heart attack and died before we could bring Bonnie home, but she was already her baby in her heart, she had pictures of her at the hospital. She asked my 16 yr old son if he would take care of Bonnie if she didn't come home, of course he said yes, so we picked her up the week after burying my Mom. It was funny because immediately we noticed things about her personality that reminded us of Mom. One of her favorite things to do is go to my husband and sons softball games. When she sees the jerseys she gets all excited, and there is nothing my Mom loved more than going to a ballgame! She has definently helped us while grieving for my Mom. At first I thought she would be my son's dog, but she immediately became attached to me, she is my velcro baby! |
Dixie was $500 Daisha was $700 Callie, my Chi was $600 |

1 Attachment(s) We paid $650 for Savannah from a breeder in South Florida, who has them brought in from Brazil. They actually refunded us $50 (to cover a vet visit) because she had Coccidia when we took her for her check-out. Here's a picture of her with her first bow in place. :D |
