What do you think about microchips?

While I am no expert about these things I did have one put in my little Jussi as a way to protect him. I hope and pray it never happens, but if for some reason we would be separated while out and about or on vacation I hope that this identification chip will help me locate him.

All of mine are microchipped except one which will be getting hers in two weeks. I even microchip my puppies. I know from first hand experience that they do work IF persons adhere to protocol; i.e. scan, identify and notify! :thumbup:

the ONLY good way to prove that a stolen pup is yours and not someone else's dog...if it comes down to it, the stolen pup might just be brought to a vet and the vet can find out it's a stolen dog!!

VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Some people say well if you do this what's stopping you from doing this to your children and to that I answer...a child has my DNA, a dog does not!!

Well said!!!

But, I have to say... if I had children... and they told me that it would keep some pervert or killer from getting ahold of my child if they were to become lost... Id get my child Microchipped too... and myself!

I think there should be locators on the Microchips... that way they can find out where your dog is! (or your child... lol)

I really think if it can keep what you love the most with you, then why would you NOT want to do it?

The thought of losing Roxy terrifies me... if I ever lost her, I think that I would just... I dont even want to imagine it.

I haven't heard of any negative side effects from implanting a microchip. My Yorkie has one...I personally think it's great...has any one heard any negative feedback about it???

My Chloe is microchipped. I would never risk not having a microchip.

Why not microchip?

I see it as another way to get Couver back, so why would I choose not to do it?!

Lexi has one too....couldn't wait to get her micro chipped can't even imagine what life would be without her anything possible to get our little furbabies home safely or found if lost is worth it to me
