How often does your Yorkie get fed? I feed Maximus twice a day, once in the a.m. and once in the p.m. with reward treats in between. (He has to "work" for his treats). Just curious to see how everyone else does it. |
I feed mine 3 times a day. I have a pom who has cushing's disease and she is always hungry so I now feed all of them 3 smaller meals a day. |
I feed KiKi twice a day..once in the a.m. and once in the p.m. She gets a couple of treats in the late evening....the magic words "What time is it?" will send her spinning in circles!!!! Treat time!! |
Mine get dry left out all day and then they get canned in the evening. |
Sapphire has a bowl that's filled with dry food out all day. She only eats when I'm home, though. She eats in the morning and at dinner time when I eat. Sometimes, though, if I have a snack she'll go over and eat. Funny dog. :rolleyes: |
Diva only eats twice a day and only if I am near her. If she sees me go into another room, she'll stop and follow me. |
Oliver and Brooklyn eat twice a day. Brooklyn would probably eat till she exploded if i left food out all day! She loves to eat!!:D |
I free feed Sydney and Chloe. I put about half their portion of kibble down in the a.m. and refresh it in the evening. They really don't eat alot , they really never finish a days worth , so I just leave it down for them. If they ate alot then I would probably do scheduled feedings. |
Lil' Miss Izzie gets fed in the morning and then again in the evening. I do leave kibble out for her in her dog dish during the day, but she rarely ever touches it... |
As of now i leave his dry food out all day. he only eats a couple bites at a time but once he gets older ill probably do scheduled feedings...that is if he starts eating more :animal-pa |
I feed 2 main meals a day (breakfast & dinner) and a small meal for supper before bed so I guess 3 meals. |
I voted other...because it seems like constantly...to keep his sugar up, to avoid seizures. Dry food is there for him always...he eats first thing in the morning, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack...and last but not least bedtime snack. |
I feed then dry Royal Canin @ noon. They eat on and off all day. I have to make sure Baron eats first becase Sammy will eat everything insight including the cat food that is kept upstairs!! I give the bison and blueberry dog treats when they go potty outside. :aimeeyork |
hmmmmmmmm In the AM I mix Merricks can food with Solid Gold kibble. I toss any food left and I usually leave fresh kibble throught the day, but he doesn't touch it much. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........ I wonder if this is okay? :confused: |
i put food down once a day. magic eats royal canine dry. his food usually sits in the bowl most of the day. he only eats when he is hungary and really prefers to just have treats. i try to watch treat intake but my husband gives them alot which i do not really like but i cannot always be the treat police.:aimeeyork |
I feed my yorkies twice a days. I leave the food from 8am-10am and same at night 8pm-10pm. With 5 dogs, it is a serious business! Lucy,Alpha dog of the house will eat first.. growling at the others if they dare try to come near the bowl! lol Second Teddy will go, he might let Mika eat too with him but know one else!! Astra and Tom Pouce just sit around keeping a respectable distance waiting for there turn... lol :yorkiesar |
My girls get a little bite of canned in the morning and then kibble all day long in their one big bowl...they share and are so cute with all 4 heads in the bowl. Kissy has to have her privacy so she eats under my desk on her pillow :rolleyes:. She is such a diva! i have to watch how much she eats or she would eat until she exploded :p They get baby carrots at noontime and then they eat their other half of their kibble serving in the afternoon/evening. |
I feed twice a day. About an hour before the evening meal, the girls start getting restless, staring at me and jumping up and running to the kitchen door every time I move. LOL. Tinka will stare at me and whine if she believes it is taking me too long to feed them. She is my teapot and always thinks she is starving... :rolleyes: Hee Hee... sometimes I make them wait a bit longer for the evening meal seeing if I can make them a little more flexible. So far it hasn't worked.:rolleyes: |
With Sasha, I fill her bowl twice a day, but I leave it out for her all the time. She doesn't normally eat anything in the morning & will eventually go to her bowl around the mid - late afternoon time. Once she finishes the first serving, I'll put another helping in about an hour later & she may or may not eat it. I usually give her a few treats in the evening as well, not every night, but usually every other night. |
I feed Brooklyn-Miles once a day. When I leave his food out he would rather play and does not want to eat. So, we have designated a specific part of the day that we devote to Brooklyn's meal and we concetrate more on eating and less on playing. He seems to do better that way. I have tried to feed him twice a day but it just doesn't work. |
I leave the food out all day but i put new food out each day even if they dont eat the old, i toss the old food out! |
Our two get fed 3x per day. We are trying to get Emma to gain some weight-so she gets breakfast and dinner around 6 and 6 and then a snack before bed. |
