Leash Snaps which do you prefer 2 Attachment(s) Friends, it is time to order leash snaps. I have two choices and I would like to get your input. Until now I have used traditional Round Eye Sanp Hooks but I am really liking the spring snap. They both cost about the same so cost won't be a factor. I also believe that they are both about equal safety wise so safety won't be a factor either. The advantages that I see are: 1) The Round Eye Snap Hook gives the leash a traditional appearance. Attachment 256267 2) The Spring Snap is a bit smaller and lighter and the swivel at the end works better so the leash is less likely to get tangled. Attachment 256268 This poll will be open until December 15th after which time I will make a decision and place a snap order. |
I prefer the traditional because the pull back clip sticks out a little and you can push it down easier. The spring snap is hard for my fingers to press open to get around the harness ring. So if you switch, save some traditionals for my old fingers! |

Spring Snap for Me I prefer the Sring Snap since I have 3 Yorkies that I walk all at the same time. It does'nt get tangled as much. It's easier and seems faster even when I'm wearing Gloves. |
I prefer the traditional . |
I prefer the spring snaps.... I hate pulling the little lever down on the traditional ones and breaking nails which happens often. |
I like the spring snaps as well. Mitzy likes to run in circles when we walk so the less tangling factor is good for me. But either way I'm still gonna buy those beautiful harnesses :) |
I prefer the traditional especially in the cold when wearing gloves its easier to open to latch onto harnesses... |
I myself have never used a spring snap so I prefer the traditional round eye snap hook. I've never had any problems with it, not even getting tangled. Plus, like others have said, I think it's easier to get on and off in the winter because of the latch. Of course I'm so used to it now that it takes not even a second to latch it onto her collar or harness. Good luck with your decision! |
