Who Likes NAsCar I thought I would ask this because I hear it every day at work..... We are the offical Bank of Nascar and we a promoting it big time since the race is next weekend...... and I personally don't care for it. |
My Bf LUVS it,, I can handle it, We have been to a few races, Rockingham, and Martinsville. That is defiantely more fun, than on tv.. I just can sit there for 4 hours and watch the same thing,, it makes me crazy,,, |
My boyfriend races sprint cars, and racing is a huge part of his life. So, I have come to like it also. We live in Indiana where of course racing is huge. I go to the Brickyard almost every year, and go to all of my boyfriends races and some of his best friends too. |
I've gotten into since i've been married. I pick a different racer every year to follow. This year it's Tony Stewart. I picked him because i like his no nonsense attitude (he's kinda a bad a**) and he's winning so double yay. Last year it was eliott sadler, but he didn't do very good so that was a bad choise. I hate gordan & johnson i think they're whiners, nascar is a man's sport. I like Jr. but he's having a bad year. Also i show horses with Kyle Petty's daughter. I got the honor to meet him and he's one of the nicest guys around and does great charity work. |
Love it and getting into the trucks as well. Watch when I can and if not check in on speed chanel to see what is going on. |
I personally love NASCAR. I grew up in a racing household. My dad raced all different kinds of cars on circle track when I was a kid. Then my brothers got into racing circle track. The one that is still here at home races super late models at the local tracks and next year will be racing ASA which is one step below Bush series. Right now my dad races drag cars on the drag strip and I have been joining him and doing pretty well, so racing is at every turn in our family. |
Go Gordon! #24 |
Oh yeah!!!!!!! I LOVE it and dirt short track too!!!!! I so what to drive so bad I can't stand it. But it probably will never happen. |
Oh I hate it. I write for the Johnson City Press - and during race week we get sooooo many calls from race fans who can't read so they call us to read to them the outcome of this race or that race. I'm sorry and I don't mean to call all race fans "rednecks" but after years of dealing with THAT sort of race fan it becomes hard to distinguish NASCAR from those fans. But I do appreciate the sport and the entertainment value of it, for people of all walks of life.....but my hubby and I don't care much for it. It's funny b/c I live 25 mins. from the Bristol Motor Speedway and I have my grandfather's side of the family born and raised in Talledega. But none of us are fans. But we're not fans of traffic, either ;) |
Val, you know I used to absolutely hate it too! My husband tried for years to get me to go to a circle track. Finally one night I gave in. I just wanted to get the whole experience over with so I would never have to do it again. Low and behold, I absolutely loved it and was addicted immediately. It took me a while longer to get in to NASCAR but I did. |
I love watching Jeff Gordon.. I always thoguht he was cute |
I go back and forth. My husband is a huge fan of Rusty Wallace. I like Casy Kahn and Dale, Jr. But I would not call myself a diehard :) |
I don't really see the point in it. I mean watching cars that drive around in circle for 3-4 hours seems boring to me. I think it's just a reason to party for people. Thank goodness my bf isn't into it! Just my opinion though. |
Tony Stewart fans here. Well, we do have one guy in my office that likes Mr. Sissy (aka Jeff Gordon). We give him grief about it all the time. My son is a Dale Jr. fan. Never been to a race, but plan on going to Kansas City in October. |
We have our teller windows set up like pit stops and I'm pit stop 88 (Tony Stewart) |
