How did you buy your Yorkie?
 
Just wondering how you purchased your Yorkie. I found my breeder in the newpaper. They lived about 2 hours from my home.

I found my Yorkie from a website in the internet. Now i know that i needed to do more researche because Gucci had ringworm and coccidiasis. I dont regret getting gucci because i love her dearly but im a bit angry that breeders out there only care about the money and not the pup.

Sandy is a Yorkie mix, but I found her on Petfinder.com - read her very sad story and proceeded to adopt her.

The puppy I am getting will be from a breeder I met through Yorkie Talk :) So I guess that counts as the internet, right? :D

Good poll Aimee!!! I actually called a breeder who had already sold her babies and she refered me to another breeder who had one pup left! (So, I checked word of mouth!)

Good poll!! My husband found our breeder through our Dr. Lucy, who is now our vet! Two strokes of luck!! ;)

I got Zsa Zsa from a private breeder .

I got Jade from a friend who just buy a new Doberman Pinscher , she was afraid the Dobe might hurt the Yorkie .

I got Sebastian from a local breeder that advertised in the paper, after checking her references we went to her house at 8:00 p.m. and ended up staying till after 11:00 p.m. trying to decide on one cause they were all sooooo cute!! She is such a sweet lady!! She calls me at least once a week to check on him and I e-mail her pics when I get them.

I found Bo through the newspaper. Not a breeder, but there was a breeder in their family. I got him cheap, $300. Best $300 I'll ever spend!!

I found my Yorkie by calling several YTCA breeders and they referred me to her. I got my Maltese through an ad in the newspaper and looking back now, his breeder was just in it for the money and wasn't reputable at all.
