I think its a darned if a do, darned if ya dont thing. If they get injured if you arent home, thats terrible, if they get out with out one on, terrible. I have to get a chip & tat very soon for my girl. Tags can be taken off & thrown away anyways & you know they most likely will. :( |
Scooter wears his collar and ID 24/7 and wears his harness for walks. There is also a tiny bell on the collar so I know where he is. :littleang |
Atticus wears a cat collar all the time (no tag) for the sole purpose of the tinkle of the little bell. He's so small and is often under foot that if he didn't wear it he'd surely get stepped on! |
Kitty breakaway collar with ID and rabies tags, plus tiny bell on 24/7 on my 5 lb 7 month old girl. She's also been microchipped. Zero issues. Great fit. She can barely reach the tags to chew and believe me, she's tried and has almost given up entirely for good. Her very first rubber/plastic doggy collar at the smallest setting didn't last a week before it got caught in her mouth during her habitual chew attacks. Luckily a pair of scissors got that one off easily along with a teenie bit of her hair during the struggle to get her still enough to snip without poking her with the scissors. That was while she was 4lbs a couple of months ago. She uses a padded harness just for the leash whenever we're out. |
They both wear step-in harnesses 24/7 with their ID tag, rabies tag, and county license. Lexie LOVES to bolt out the door when people open it to come in, so I sleep a little better at night when she has them on. Lexie is 7 lbs and Beau is 13 lbs and they both handle wearing the harnesses just fine. |
collar with a bell and tag Bella wears a small cat collar with a bell and a tag. The jingle is great for keeping track of her when she wanders around the house. The tag in case she ever gets lost. I put a harness on her when we go for a walk. :aimeeyork |
