I LOVE my job!! Sometimes I can't wait for the week-end to end so that I can get to work and relax. It's great here and I have the best boss EVER!!

School Nurse
 
I am a school nurse, which I love, love, love.... The pay is awful... but I love my job. Off during the summer with my son and Mia.. I have been a school nurse for 17 years. You never know from day to day what to expect. I love all my students and I'm their mommies when they get hurt. You wouldn't believe how much a little TLC will go... I will work there until I retire some day..:aimeeyork

I love my job too!
I have an amazing, kind boss and a beautiful view from my office! I have enough to keep me busy but not stressed. We have a HUGE office for 4 of us and it makes it nice to not have anyone in your area all the time. There is little to no "customer service" involved in my line of work so I don't have to deal with the general public! Yay! Just nice business people!

I have had my share of crappy jobs and bosses! It is a miracle I have never been fired because of my smart mouth! I was miserable for 10 years working in health care in emergency rooms, it is so hard to care so much and not be able to really help! But those days are long gone!

I love mine I work for my Husband. He has a courier co. I drive for him a couple of days for 1 1/2 hrs. Then one evening a week for 1 hr. I also do his billing. The rest of the time I am home with the furbabies

OK, that settles it. After reading the replies to this thread, I am going to become a hairdresser and work for bchgirl. The customers may line up here.

I love my job, I worked for the government for over 30 years, retired, stayed home for three years and then I had a chance to come out of retirement and help our soldiers. It is not a career, no stress, and I am helping support our troops. What more can I say.

I have been working at the same job for almost twenty :eek: years!!! It has been a good job, but I am looking forward to retiring in the next 5-6 years..... then I am hoping to find a more "girlie" job closer to home (and less hours). SO far that is the plan......... hopefully it will happen that way!!! :rolleyes:

I love my job too... I'm a stay at home Mummy, I love my boss... she's easy to please and sleeps alot. :D

I'm not a hairdresser. In fact....I sell manly man items. Automotive service equipment....grunt, grunt, grunt. Let's talk vehicle lifts and tire changers bud.

PS You can grill us lunch. ;)

No, no. I have to be a hairdresser. Those are the ones who sound the happiest. Well, that and stay at home moms, and that's sort of out of the question.

So you'll have to open a salon in Alaska that allows Yorkies.

Matter of fact...my three sell automotive service equipment each and every day.

I've been a dental hygienst for many years:rolleyes:and truly love the job itself:teethysmi.....!! It is very rewarding to help keep a patient's mouth healthy and clean!! Most patients are wonderful to work with, but there are ,at times as with anything, more difficult people to deal with, especially dealing so closely with them. The relationship we build over the years is wonderful, and that in itself, is a big reason why I like my job. I work with my husband, father-in-law, and mother-in-law;)! Truly is a family practice. I am only working a day a week or so. I have also taught aerobics in the past, but found I prefer to work out myself ,as I enjoy my own exercise more. It can become stressful, and I want to work out to relieve stress;):D!

I love my job! For 15 years I have been a fourth grade teacher in a bilingual school. I enjoy working with the children and my fellow teachers. There is never a dull moment .I am always amazed at the children that come to me in August and the children that leave my class in June. Their growth: academic, emotional and physical is my reward. I will certainly never be rich but I can't think of anything else that would make me feel so accomplished.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I was so surprised to see everyone say that they loved their jobs. I always thought everyone was just drudging along like me. I AM in the process of getting a new job tho'. I have been a guard in a jail for 14yrs and I am soooooo done. I have made contact with a job analyst with my county and am looking for something else. I hope you can find a way to find something else too. Life is too short to be miserable.

I love my job too!! I love all the people I work with. I work in a Family Practice medical office and we are all like family!! It takes me about 7 minutes to get to work. I just wish I was paid more, but you got to weigh out the pros and cons. Would I be as happy at a different place getting paid more?? I don't want to start at the bottom of the totem pole again. I am sitting pretty where I am at now

I picked #2: I love my job but would like to do something else.

It's really eerie that I found this thread today; I just had a meeting with my boss, less than an hour ago, to talk about my burnout. I'm an administrative assistant at a small nonprofit. I've been at this organization for 15 years, and 10 of that has been doing the exact same thing. Most of my job is scheduling meetings: for 2 internal and 8 external committees, plus random meetings with donors and staff. There are also 2 pieces of my job that have gone away in the past couple years that were sort of fun but that we just don't do anymore. I'm feeling like everything is just the same thing, day in and day out.

The good news is that my boss was very understanding and said I should talk to our office manager, and the OM is thrilled to accommodate me! I set a time to meet with the OM on Tuesday, so we'll see what happens. I love this place and don't want to leave here, but I really need some new or different responsibilities.

I like my job, but could think of a million things I'd rather do! I work in engineering, and it's a good career job and it's what I went to college for, but it's not really my passion.
When I started taking Layla to puppy classes, it turns out that her teacher was this girl I used to know when I was about 15. She's a year younger than me, and she is now a certified dog trainer and runs her own whole business of dog training and doggy daycare. Now that would be my DREAM!

Jeri, I heard it is a GREAT place to work and Smuckers is too.

Just noticed if you add the next four choices after 'love my job' all four added together do not add up to the total of 'love my job' which is so nice to know that so many are happy with their work.

It is great so many love their job.
I work from home as a telecommuter so whats not to love! 7 years of not commuting, I could never go back to a office.

I voted "I like my job but would rather do something else". I do like my job, but it's not going to be my permanent career... then there are days where I really hate it.
