| Latuya | 07-27-2005 10:21 AM | My son asked me this the other day. But he didn't mean gender. He really wanted to know what we are as in our nationality. So I told him,,, well my family are made up a different nationalities. My grate grandparents were from Mexico, France, and spain. And my husband is part Philippino part Mexican and part American Indian. I have costudy of my niece and she is part Mexican part White for my halfsisters side and African American on her daddy's side. He looked at me with this blank look,,, and said "ok so what are we? Sounds like we are a bunch of muts and you can't pinpoint what we are." I told him "If I have to tell people our nationality, I would just say we are Latino. Then he came back and told me but,,, we are more then that. So really didn't know what to tell him but,,,,,,we are warm blooded humanbeings just like anyone else. By that time he was so frustrated he just walked away mumbling "if you don't know the answer just say so" |
