Well ok, I voted no...but this is honestly how I feel. I wouldn't personally PAY for one with a long tail...not that there is anything at ALL wrong with the longer tails because I do think they are cute, BUT - I PREFER the docked tails as that is the breed standard. Again, this is just what I prefer and is my opinion :) If you are paying for something (something expensive I might add), might as well get exactly what you want, right? :) HOWEVER....that's not to say that I wouldn't rescue one that had a long tail - I would :) |
I probably would!! Depending on the dog! Now, I have a question!! How long is a docked tail to be?? I have wondered if they cut Banjo's to short!! He does not like me to touch it at all! And it is such a short little tail!! Is there is certain length is should be approx??? |
Personally, I think they look cuter with a docked tail, just b/c that little stub waggling is so adorable, but I wouldn't have a problem with a dog having a longer tail. If I'd bought almost any other type of dog, they probably would have had a full tail, so I can't see that it would make me NOT buy a dog that I really liked. All your puppies I've seen are beautiful, BTW:D . |
. i'd like to see a picture of both ways.... |
I wouldn't care either way. I think their tails are cute both ways. :D |
My sister had a yorkie that has his tail.. he was too tiny to have it docked when he was born.. so it staying... with his hair cut.. he looked like a little fox.. |
I love the tail! I prefer a tail more then a docked tail. Plus since I'm not showing, there is really no reason I need my yorkie to have a docked tail. |
I like either or! |
I love the tails.... I have even talked to Linda, Hope's breeder, about one day getting a little boy from her, and I want him to keep his tail... she said YES... so, when I am ready, he will have a tail... they aree sooooo cute d |
I feel like a docked tail is more sanitary, isn't it? Does their tail not get in the way when they go or is thier tail up when they go? Ok that's prob a dumb question. |
Samira holds her tail up when is is doing her business... She is the least likely of my three to have clingers... My Paris #2 has a teeny tiny stub and is forever putting her tail down and squishing it into her fur...just before she finishes. :( |
I love them with their tails and/or without!! imo.. yes the bigger ones.. again imo.. look cuter with the docked tail.. but the smaller ones (under 5 pounds) look soooo adorable with the tails.. btw Kayah is a "bigger one" but not a teapot... just bigger:p |
No I would not...I will only buy a yorkie that has a docked tail..and a properly docked tail at that. I very much prefer the docked tail and I feel that reputable US breeders will dock tails because it is the AKC standard. |
I've never seen an adult yorkie w/ long tail in real life, only on pics... But I think I would get one w/ a long tail IF I like everything about the dog, not only the tail matter...:D |
Great place! Hello Great community! I want to thank you! |
