I feel very lucky we don't have fleas bad enough around here to have to use anything. Once or twice (over years) I've seen a flea after being outside but used Dawn in the bath and didn't have to apply anything else. I used to use Frontline and would go back to that if forced to. |
I use Frontline Plus. Every 2-3 mos spring-summer-fall. One vial (up to 22lbs) split between the 3 of them. I've been using it that way for 11 yrs, per our vet's instructions, with no flea~tick problems. When we only had our Maltese I used 1/3 vial every 2-3 mos. |

Sentinel is great..it's a tasty little pill(so the shepherd takes it with her food once a month) and it's also for heartworms..I don't like any of the stuff you have to put on their shoulder blades, as they go and roll over as soon as you put it on them, trying to get it off, and makes them look greasy |
Crap...I messed up my vote. I meant to vote Advantage and ProMeris...but Sentinel got selected instead of Advantage. So far I like advantage the best |
I use frontline during the warm months but right now I dont use anything but just to keep any away that might still linger around since Im in the south..I use BioGuard..its a very gentle shampoo that is suppose to get rid of fleas and if your using a preventative...it wont wash it off. So its like extra protection during warm months and a lil protection during the cold. Lol. I give my furbaby a bath once a week...hes a lil boy that by the end of the week I dunno how he does it but he is soo raggedy lookin and def due for a bath. But I use the BioGuard once to twice a month dependin on if there was many warm...er days. Lol |
It is so good to see that people have heard about Hartz and aren't using them!:) It looks like Frontline wins. |
I use revolution (I love it)I am surprised there wasn't a place for it. I also made a mistake and voted for something else I caught it last minute and couldn't go back. |
