I haven't taken Reagan and probably won't. We took our last puppy, our bloodhound and since its like everyone says the class is mainly to teach you how to teach them we've been taught already. Auburn really didn't learn too much in the class itself. All it did was teach us and make us work with her at home b/c we didn't want to look bad in class. But I think it was great for her to get to see and play with the other dogs. Also it did allow us to work with her in a heavily distracting area (the 15 other dogs and their people). I would like to take Reagan for this reason but will probably just continue training her at home. |
I have not taken my two pups but probably will. I would like to train Chachi to walk better than he does. |
I home schooled in obedience for most of my yorkies. The only one I took to obedience school is Teddy and only because I want to achieve a level in which I can compete with him. Fingers crossed: Hopefully, Teddy will be ready to compete in AKC obedience next year. |
Mocha was attending a basic obedience class (she was the worst dog there) lol.. I was learning alot and she would have graduated next week :-(.. I had a good time through for the 4 weeks we did go.. We met several other dogs!! I recommend it 100% |
Yep, Keeley just graduated from Petco's puppy classes (6 week course). I went because I really wanted to learn the best way to communicate with Keeley, and i also like the supervised/leashed socialization that he was able to do. I felt it really helped me and he picked up on everything that we were taught very very quickly. I loved it and am thinking about starting more classes in a few months. I loved having something like that, that we could do together outside of our usual enviornment. |
Mine did too and they learned a lot. |
