Grooming your yorkie's tail What do you do to your yorkie's tail? |
I do - I make sure there's no tangles and when it gets straggly I trim them up - Chanel loves her little butt trimmed - Cheri hates it |
I trim around Carter & Cooper's butt to prevent dingleberries but as far as the hair on the actual tail, I've never trimmed either dog's. I took the scissors to Carter today and trimmed the stragglies from the end of his coat and wondered if I should have done something to his tail as well. Something I've learned is -- you can stretch out the rear leg and comb all hair downward and trim from behind the front leg all the way to the tip of the paw in a straight line and it works great! Stretching out the front leg and doing the same doesn't work so well. I'll have to figure out something different for that. Not sure what though. |
The hair on Stewie's tail is getting long. I think it looks so cute and I'm leaving it as long as it doesn't hang down onto his poop hole :) |
I never trim their little tails.......they look like a puff....I call them plumes :p |
Most yorkies that come to me for grooming that have longer coats leave the tail hair long. They just trim up the underside of the tail. |
I have never cut or trimmed my girl's "palm trees" as I call them (they hang over their backs sort of bent over!) .. both have undocked tails and I like all the hair looking like a fan. Ana xx :aimeeyork |
We trim Duncan's tail by about half an inch just to tidy it up but it arches up and over his back and looks absolutely wonderful so I wouldn't take any more than that off. We trim his bum area for hygeine ! |
Bailey just gets the underside of his tail trimmed (to prevent cling-ons) |
I started cutting mine after the poo was getting stuck to the long hairs. |
Ilike it left as long as possible if it still looks good....nice and full, not straggly little hairs. |
I haven't cut Gucci's tail hair. I like it long. If is too long that poop get stuck I will defenitely trim it. |
i trim coco's tail hair i like to keep it short and stummpy looking :) |
