| Laura | 07-09-2005 07:48 PM | Our homeowner's insurance asks about dogs - Rottweilers, dobey, pit bulls - one other. They will not insure. Also our town requires they be housed in a full dog run, cement on bottom and chain link on top. The problem with these dogs is the strength in their jaw. Lots of our friends have pit bulls. They are nice, I don't want them to bring them to my house. And I do agree the owners play a large role, but sometimes -so do circumstances. I had bull mastiff kill my American eskimo. He actually pulled her through a hole they had chewed in the fence and shook her to death. He was only 6 months old and absolutely beautiful and sweet. But he was a dog, and he was big. I see my pups make the same motion with a rag, but they could only kill a lizard. |
