YEA YOU FOR SURE!!!!!! We very rarely get thunder an lightning, maybe once every few years, so I go out and try to capture it and never have. Your so lucky.

That is awesome! I finally got to see a real lightning storm a few years back in Texas. We couldn't take our eyes off of it. :)

Awesome!! We have gotten TONS of lightning this year and I have never even thought to try and get a shot!

That's beautiful! It seems like we have more lightning touching down than ever before. That first shot looks like a doozy! My car was hit by lightning this year in May. I've never been so scared. Thankfully, no one was hurt. What struck me as odd is that I always thought lightning was WHITE - like in your pics. Well, when it hits you it is the prettiest blue your brain can imagine (even though you don't think so at the time). Now I head home at the first rumble of thunder - sometimes it's just a large truck passing or whatever though...lol!

I actually beat the storm. Was getting a bit nervous though. I had actually not been out of the hospital long from my appendectomy, was moving pretty slow still and had climbed some bleachers at the park down the road. I was steadying myself on the metal hand rail, and I suddenly thought.............THIS IS GETTING A BIT TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT. I am sure the look on my face as an older, heavy set, post op woman trying to get down off the bleachers while not touching the metal hand rail would have been an even better shot. LOL

Thanks everyone! I was pretty excited to finally get the shots. I had tried before, but it never seemed to work out.

Great lightening shots! There is just something about capturing mother nature at her fiery best that is amazing to see. :thumbup:
