trouble uploading pics. i'm new to yt and i would up load my pictures of my bella with no problem. and then one day i up loaded two pictures and when i tried uploading more it wouldn't let me. it kept giving me an error report. so i tried to upload one picture at a time and when i did. it told me that i had exceed the amount or size but i was confused because i had not done anything diffrent so i couldn't understand why it was telling me that.i tried writing to the help forum but with no luck or response. i have written to friends on the forum but have not recieved an answer.so i really don't know what to do myself. i really get frustrated because i have alot of pictures that i would like to post but can't. if you get a response from anyone please let me know thank you. |
Enchilila, hmm, I use iphoto on my mac, and it's a snap, but I'm not sure how people on PC's do it. Typically, the camera you buy comes with software for downloading pics from your camera. If that's what's obsolete, you might go to the camera-maker's website and see if they have a patch or upgrade. You might even e-mail them and see what they say. Another thing you might try is just plug the camera into the computer, find the icon for the camera, open it and manually drag the pictures onto your desktop. SUZYQ15, not sure what brought about the change for you, but pictures from the camera do generally have to be shrunk before you can post them. I usually size mine 4" x 6" or so and don't have any problems. You have to keep them under 200 kilobytes each. If you don't have software for shrinking pictures, you might try going to Resize Images online. You can resize right online. |
I ban alaskayorkie for knowing a lot more about downloading pics than I, but am thankful you passed along helpful information. ooohhh, wrong thread! Sorry. Seriously, thanks for the suggestions. I got out the catalog that came with my camera and it didn't help me much. I found a DVD in the box that I downloaded to the computer. Duh! It worked. I was using Adobe Photoshop starter edition. Eventually, it became obsolete. It was a nice little program. |
Cool. You owe me. Lay off the rude bans. :p You might check to see if there's an updated version of photoshop starter. It's probably easier and better than the DVD, but I'm glad you've got something that works. I expect to see lots of cute pictures forthcoming. |
Enchilila I use www.shrinkpictures.com It is a good program and you don't have to install it. |
alaskayorkie was right:rolleyes: |

One uploaded and the other one didn't - got the message it exceeded the size. I went to the picture directory and even though I had shrunk both pics to the same pixel size, one was a bigger kb size, so I just shrunk it some more and it uploaded. |

This free photo editing program was recommended on YT, I find it excellent, very simple to use. Photoscape : Free Photo Editing Software (Photo Editor) Download |

Hey, thanks! Sounds easy. |
I use PhotoFiltre. I'm not good with photo/image programs and I find this to be very simple. For resizing, you open your image, right click and select Image Size. There's tons of great tools in it and it's a free download as well. |
