Anyone familiar with Windows Movie Maker? I have a video that I edited in WMM and now I want to send it to someone or post it and I can't. The extension is MSWMM and I can't do anything with that. I can't put it on Youtube or Facebook or anything. It's frustrating because I managed to get the video just the way I want it. Can anyone give me some help? Or does anyone know of a free video editing software program that is user friendly and has an extension that makes sense? TIA :) |
You have it saved as a project file, that is what the mswmm is. If you go to : file>save movie file it will save it as a .wmv file that you can upload to youtube :) |
i have one also , my brother is a computer guy & couldn't help me, All he said was "why is it that file you can't do anything with it" lol |

the project file is so you can go back and re-edit if you want to change it |
Were you able to do it? My windows movie maker is broken, but it would only give me one choice for the file. There are other programs you can download, that will allow you to open the file, and convert it to anything you like. I like this one: Riva FLV Encoder - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com There are tutorials on U-tube that show how to use it. |
I always remember you had to "publish movie" I think? or something along those lines... you can't just save it. I wish I had a PC in front of me but I'm on a Mac. |
I finally did it, but not without a little temper tantrum. Yes, you have to do the publish video thing. Duh! Nancy, thanks for the link. I posted the video in the showing section. It's only 15 seconds long but it took me hours to figure it out. :D |
