~I usually use plastic colored tablecloths, very inexpensive, get them from the dollar store. |
Great ideas! |
1 Attachment(s) I have a length of white fabric. It's plenty wrinkled, but I put Snoopy out in front of it a ways so it's kinda blurry. |

3 Attachment(s) I use whatever i have right now. The one of my Guinea pig was taken with her on my computer chair. The other one of My Silky terrier was Taken with him on my Bed & i was standing on a chair. Last one is just my cat on the couch. I like using things around my house because i get a bunch of different colors & textures If i went out & bought a white background i would only have a animal with While background. |

I just saw this thread - what great ideas! |
wonderful ideas. :):thumbup::) |
I know this might sound stupid - but how do you attach the background you want to use? Like putting a table cloth up against a wall? I also have a nice mirror which I think will make a good backdrop but my problem is right beside the wall mirror is a door. I can't seem to focus in tight enough to do away with the door. Any suggestions on what \I can do with door? I love all the ideas for backdrops. |
With Monroe we just go outside. |
Stay away from anything too fancy or distracting. One time years ago, I entered a floral show. Missed a blue ribbon only because the only thing I could find the color I needed was satin. Judge counted it off because it competed with my flowers. You want your background to compliment your subject, not compete. Thanks for the thread! |
Just found this thread! I love taking pictures outside - the natural light is great. If I can't do it outdoors, I sometimes use a blanket, sheet, or even the couch or hardwood floor. |

Hope you come back to read this, sorry I missed your question. I use those push pins that are used on bulletin boards. They do leave a tiny hole in the wall, but after years of rearranging pictures and other wall hangings, they are not the only little holes in my walls:) |
3 Attachment(s) I have used fabric draped over a cardboard box (see the two pink backgrounds) or just in front of a solid color chair (the basket pic) -- not the most professional though. There is a really nice background that I would like to get thta is like a popup windowshade. It is a very bright green and makes it easy to change the background with photoshop. You just highlight the bright green and replace it with whatever background you want, and the pups stay in the foreground. You can do some amazing things with that! Doesn't that second pup look mad? His one ear up and one er down state cracked me up tho. Had about a week like that. :) Memories! |
1 Attachment(s) These babies belong to a friend of mine. I love how just throwing a shaw over a tiny chair then putting ferns around can end up a great picture. |
