No I never found the yam. I love the "zoodles" and it takes me like 15 seconds to do a whole zucchini. They have a much fresher taste than the other shiratake noodles I've tried. I use both green and yellow squash. Gets me a serving of veggies too.
I also love spaghetti squash as a pasta sub. | I've tried spaghetti squash a bunch of times and I really tried to like it, but it's so much work and there is still that "crunch" that I can tell it's a veggie. I prefer to eat my veggies as veggies, not trying to pretend it's something else. When I eat noodles I will just eat noodles, but it's usually such a small portion I guess it doesn't matter, but it satisfies that craving. Similar to why I only use full fat mayo and yogurt. A little goes a long way, but if I try the low fat kind, the taste isn't right so I use more. I probably end up using way more that it would counter act the 30% less fat. AND I still don't get the taste I am craving! |
