I have Too many pans. I really only need 3-4 sizes. I think,I have maybe 12 pots and pans. Probably more!! |
I have a Jack LaLane's Juicer that I think I have only used once or twice...it just sits on the top shelf of my pantry....was too much of a mess to clean up afterwards....I bought a Magic Bullet and love it, it does everything the lrg juicer does and more :-) |

Yah why is Tupperware such a big deal? I think the best thing ever is Press N Seal, and then just put your leftovers in any bowl or whatever and use the PNS and voila. You know what takes up a lot of room here but we never use? The original microwave. It's the built in kind. I'd like to have that taken out and put in another oven. We have a counter top microwave that was actually made IN THIS CENTURY! |
I have a Caphalon countertop grill, like a foreman grill, only bigger, nicer and $200 more expensive. lol Hardly ever use it. Other than that, I can only say that there are some smaller less expensive things I don't use often, like the rice cooker I never used, but that was only $30. Funny thing though, of all the things I use the most, the $20 Vidalia Onion chopper tops the list. I use it weekly in the winter and pretty much daily in the summer! lol |
My DH wanted the Nuwave oven.....so he ordered it about a year ago. We have used it 3 times! It is just a pain to get out and set up! We use the free stuff more...... it came with a party mixer and a mini chopper/mixer. We love making slushies and margaritas with the mini! It was pricey, too! |
Oh my gosh, I just realized that actually our microwave/convection oven is the most expensive clunker in our kitchen. We use the microwave (which we could have bought for like $250) but I HAD to have the convection oven too, you know... just in case! We used it ONCE in 4 years. It was $600!!!!! :( Oh well... whoever buys our house will appreciate it I hope! |

interesting thread, I have so many things that I don't use, lately I have been just throwing the stuff out. I wanted an expresso/cap maker for Christmas several years ago, did not use it once, finally trashed it a few months back, I had several things that are supposed to chop and go up and down, one was from pampered chef, never really could figure out how to use them, took more time to clean then just chop by hand, just tossed those out, I have toaster broiler oven combo that is covered with dust on the top shelf of my pantry. I also have a vita mix bought on line from them after seeing it at Costco, had it three years and have only made applesauce, which by the way was good so I really need to get that thing back out again. I have some expensive knives from pampered chef that are stored in some type of sharpener holder, the last time I tried to get the knife out of the holder was a year ago, it would not come out so I just forgot about it, but it does take up a lot of space in my knife draw. I have a fry daddy that was never used, bought it to make coconut shrimp which I since learned how to make in the oven. I have a food processor that was used two years ago to make pesto which is still the only thing I have ever made in it. I have a pretty big kitchen with a lot of storage yet I have no extra room and it seems like I mostly chop by hand and cook in throw away foil pans, so I guess I must have a lot of useless stuff that I can not part with:D |
We bought a convection oven from someone who didn't use their often for CHEAP! We have it at work. We use it often, and it's my fave thing ever. Hopefully we can move it over to our new place something in the future. |
LOL this thread has made me decide to get stuff for the Vitamix. So I will be making some green smoothies and some applesauce Priscilla when you say convection oven, do you mean like a countertop toaster oven that has a convection setting |

Oh I know that type but forgot about it, when we built our home we were going to do built in double ovens so I wanted that type for my second oven so I would not need a separate microwave, my husband and I fought round and round on it. He just wanted white standard ovens since we already had a microwave LOL like it would last forever. I finally gave up and since I could not get what I wanted switched to a slide in range, and now my microwave sits in the laundry/butlers pantry. weird compromise wish I would have forced my way cause I hate my jenn aire range and have to get a new one soon. |
