I still don't get what a "soaper" is.

I tried growing my own herbs before. It was the first thing I did when we got our house (RIP house). It was so dang hot out there in the middle of nowhere that only a few seeds sprouted, and once they did, some rabbit or other vermin came and ate the new growth!

I wanted to buy that countertop herb garden thingy, but couldn't get myself to spend that much.

So No, I have never successfully grown any herbs.

I LOVE tarragon, and it's always so expensive or wilty at the markets, so that is a big one for me.

Did I mention, I HATE CILANTRO!:mad::thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumb down:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumb down

So this system has the option (which I have taken) of mounting it on a pole instead of sitting on the ground. No pests. Also, with the coconut coir (water retentive) and the self watering system......it's almost fool proof!

worm poop is.....worm poop. PURE and simple ;) GREAT nutrients in that there sh*t :D and coconut coir is coconut hair or husk. sold in blocks. Very water retentive when mixed with potting soil!

I have never grown an herb in my life... and I've only purchased oregano once.. for a science project! I'm not a skilled chef, but I am a skilled eater (if that counts for anything) :D :D

eating totally counts!

DO you cook frozen pizza? Make spaghetti? tacos? frozen diet meals? Any of these things can reach another level if you add a fresh ingredient to the prepared version :D

:thumbup::thumbup: Frozen pizza is my specialty... I usually just add extra cheese! LOL. Is that where these extra pounds are coming from :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: But I might try adding some herbs next time. I only like subtle herbs though, nothing with too much flavor.

I add fresh basil to frozen pizza. Oregano is also a good thing as are chives and dill!

basil is mild. Do you know what a chiffonade is? its basically ribbons of basil (or whatever herb) . Add smallish pieces of the herb at first and you will be won over :thumbup:

Hey... pictures always help....
Mine are grown in different pots but I've seen some very nice single container herb gardens. Seems like they used sweet basil, parsley and oregano. The basil and parsley were placed towards the back of a planter (they grow taller and more up), the oregano was placed toward the front of the planter and grew over the sides...pretty! The container was one the larger size, probably 24" tall and the same or more in diameter.

PS......I LOVE cilantro!:)
