We had everything fat n good - cheeseburgers on the grill home made French fries and roasted corn o the cob! Yum Yum

storms here..... 4 inches of rain......thunder and lightening crashing all around....a baked potato with salt, pepper, a dab of butter, and ketchup!!.......

:) I ADORE cooking in my 'new kitchen' thank you Gail....it's all 'very white' (quite scary :eek:)...but with loads of 'retro' colourful bits + pieces...kept my old oven though - too used to it to let it go...:D Wouldn't have replaced ANY of it if it hadn't been for the leak that went through our roof...into the bathroom...then into the kitchen...yuck!

Just about to have peppered burgers (too!!!), fries, fried eggs on top, roasted tomatoes (halved, garlic salt, olive oil + a pinch of sugar - 40 minutes, yum!!!) and crumbled blue cheese...maybe a bit of salad for one of our '5 a day'...:rolleyes: :D xx

Can't get off YT today w/out commenting on the WONDERFUL hot chocolate I had last night thanks to Lisa/lisaly sending me the very best chocolate shavings in the world for making read hot chocolate in a loving care package months back. Made a whole cup and got down half of it last night. Mmmm - totally scrumptious, Lisa! Never tasted anything like it B4!

:) That is just SO kind - what a sweetheart Lisa is....glad you enjoyed, Jeanie, and managed to enjoy at least half of it!!! :)

Just for your information - and because I think you'd probably love the 'after dinner mints' and other sweet-treats - this is the hot chocolate we use...

Chicken salad stuffed tomato....chicken salad with chopped walnuts, chopped apples, chopped grapes, and a handful of craisins (dried cranberries and raisins)....

Wow, Sally, it all looks so decadent and scrumptious! Haven't had much of a taste for sweets this past year but that wonderful hot chocolate and seeing all those really, truly wonderful things do bring back the old cravings and march them among my tastebuds! Tomorrow, I'm going to try one of those Lindor Truffles Lisa sent. Been saving them and this may be the time!

:) Well, it's 'August Bank Holiday' over here...!!! Pouring with rain and quite chilly, yuck!! So Andy and I went to a garden centre and had a Full English - mine was a veggie one!!!!! Andy's wasn't....:rolleyes:

My one consisted of hash browns, fried bread with 2x fried eggs, baked beans, veggie sausage, roasted tomatoes and lots of extremely scrummy mushrooms...

Toast and marmalade + a cappuccino...was reeeeally nice!!! Especially having it made for us...;) :D

Oh that sounds delicious! Especially the toast and marmalade with a cappuccino :cup: I have not been on much this summer and as the rains just hit this weekend and the leaves came tumbling down I breathed a sigh of relief and am glad to check in on yorkie talk :aimeeyork

It is good to hear that Andy is up and running and that you two are doing well :love: and so good to hear Jeannie sipping hot cocoa and being tempted by truffles- especially from sweet Lisa :lv32:

Tonight was spaghetti, saucy, meaty spaghetti with the thin noodles. A big mixed green salad with thick wedges of tomatoe, thin slices of red onion and chunky bleu cheese dressing. Dylan made us his fabulous and very garlicky garlic bread (my favorite). I left my red wine on the table and snuck sips from my daughters milk glass instead ;)

Ugh...evil, delicious, terrible McDonald's. I love the classic regular cheeseburger and fries.
