Oops! I missed this, sorry.

Nope. Alas, sinner that I am- the coffee shop is the purveyor of my lattes :embar: I go through phases of indulgence and always appreciate gift cards, lol. Lattes are my weakness.

Today for lunch I had a delicious salad (spinach mix with arugula and some herby yummy leafiness) with sliced English cucumbers, baby carrots, sliced fresh onions, err...those onion crispin things which I suppose are deep fried onions :eek: cheesy croutons, dried cranberries and roasted rabbit topped with blue cheese, yum! Tomorrow is forecasted to be the same :)

Shrimp home made pizza today lots of basil - pesto sauce - onions - mushrooms and tomatoes!

Shrimp sounds so good right now! I am supposed to be making dinner but I am collapsed, exhausted in my sweatpants with Lilah curled up in my lap. Sounds like you need a good rest - so forgo dinner and rest up. There were exactly two tiney pieces of pizza left and there was only three folks eating pizza. I make it on a large cookie sheet/tray. I should really get a pizza stone I suppose. When I got up this am and went for lunch those two pieces disappeared in the night like thieves.

It was tasty! Woke up late, late yesterday so I couldn't sleep until early this morning so last night I was scanning YT and popped a couple of Saltines with chicken salad smeared on and was ready for bed.

This was my father's favorite breakfast!! He would have this every Saturday or Sunday!!! Thanks for the memory!

I actually did make the bison and minted peas :) it was great!

Tonight we got to go out for dinner, it was delicious! I had prime rib medium rare with a 'loaded' baked potatoe (sour cream, chives, bacon and cheese) with a more sour than sweet coleslaw and a side salad with blue cheese and we had a fried onion appetizer with warm buns and honey butter. I seriously felt like I was busting out of my clothes! lol, but it was quite good :)

I have never cooked bison - or eaten it - I buy it for the pups but never sampled it myself. Is it difficult to cook

Home made burgers with a LOT of onion, sliced tomatoes and (very stinky!!! :D) blue cheese, big garlicky mushrooms (:drool:) + fries....garlic tomato chutney and mayo...hardly a 'British roast beef dinner', eh?!!!? :D

Well maybe not but sounds just delish! If I ever get over for Crufts - I want ta stay with you! Please please tell me you live near to where Crufts is!

:D Oh, what a giggle we would have....:D

As you know, Crufts used to be held in central London (about 15 miles from us) but now it's moved to the NEC Birmingham, about 200 miles away and a YUCKY 3 hour-ish drive away - if you're lucky :( xx

Definitely don't want to damage the foodie thread again :embar: but since I found out my cholesterol was high I decided to try it as a sort of beef substitute. It is very similar in flavor and texture but it had lower fat and bla bla supposed to better for my ticker :love: so far, I like it fine and would consider it relatively easy to cook. The only catch though is that because it doesn't have a lot of fat going for it, it will stick to your pan or not hold together the way you would expect beef to. So cooking it in olive oil or coconut oil seems to be a good way to go.
