You look a lot taller than you say Roni :) Oh, so I tried making pickled eggs but with soft boiled eggs and it was a success! I think these would make an awesome egg salad, and that since the yolk is gooey and creamy, I don't think you'd have to put in mayo! Gonna try it after I make some more eggs. |

I don't know if I would like pickled eggs. I never tried it. I love boiled eggs though. I just had a handful of Doritos :) |

Those are some fish!!! Worst tortilla soup ever. Dishwater would have been better. |

And if you like pickles and you like eggs, you would like pickled eggs. I just recently started eating them and I've loved pickles my whole life. Wish I had started eating them sooner! |
I love pickled eggs myself! |
lol including the tail. :D All the way to the tips. Where can I get these pickled eggs? Or do you make them yourself? The only eggs other than boiled we got here are Balut..and EWWWWW... or the fermented duck eggs. blech!! |
I make them myself but usually Jewish delis should have them. I've never tried balut eggs but I know plenty of places here that sell them. I'd try one if someone who liked them would share one with me. |
Where did the huge fish come from? Did you all catch them? |

My hubby caught them fishing from his boat.(trolling) About 16 miles off the west side of the island. :D |
Are those like those fish they catch on those reality shows about deepsea fishing that bring thousands of dollars????????? They look like they would fight all day and wear you down - or does he use another method? Is trolling a netcatching type method? I'm not "up" on my terms as I've not watched many of those shows and we don't fish deep sea. Impressive catch! Do you eat them? |

Yes. These are yellow tail though and not the blue tail ones that you see on Wicked Tuna. And Japan pays big dollars for the blue tail. The blue tail has a higher fat content and thats why it's so prized. They can put up a big fight but these took about 30 to 45 minutes to reel in. Trolling is when you let your lure drag out behind you while you move at a low speed. And YES I eat them. :) We don't really waste anything either. We love the collars and the head. My hubby is cutting up sashimi pieces as we speak. :D I'm going to try and make home made tuna salad tomorrow. I don't know why I never did that but I assume it should be awesome! And my hubby is making fish patties tomorrow night.:D |
