Are you looking for red, white, sweet, or dry? Do you get headaches from wine at all? Bogle makes a fantastic, inexpensive red table wine (think it's a merlot or cab). Also, there is a FAB Hungarian wine by Egri Bikaver called "Bulls Blood of Eger" (dry red) - LOVE IT. I found this out of nowhere, and just picked it up for a holiday party a few years ago - and every time we serve it, about 10 people ask what it is...it's just super easy to drink (not super complex etc). And crazy cheap. Do you like champagne or prosecco? If yes, a great drink is a Kir Royale - this is champagne w/ a splash of creme de cassis. Champagne doesn't give me the headaches that wine can. Nice and light too. |

Red wine gives me terrible migraines- so I have to stick with white, I can't stand super sweet wines, moscato's make me want to- well you get the point, lol- I also don't like anything too too dry. I stick with Riesling, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay usually. The best thing is to find out if your wine store hosts wine tastings- most wine stores do, even the tiny little ones. This way you can try a few wines and see what you like. I usually only spend between 20 and 30 dollars on a bottle of wine and can always find something really good in my price range. |

I have a friend that has bought bottle after bottle of wine and has not found anything to make her happy. I read this post and sent her a copy of what you posted here. She just called me and wanted me to thank you!! She tried the Moscato and loved it! :) |

Personally, I prefer a cheap Lambrusco! Dark red, and sweet. Goes great with pasta (and everything else) :) |

I have a hard time with the difference too. I usually try and find the cheapest wine that is good and I will go up in price if something sucks. Like I like Red Door Pinot Noir and I can usually find it for under $10. At the holidays, I buy quite a few bottles of Biltmore's Christmas wine. It's a little sweet and we drink it with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, I love it! It's about $12. I always stay under $15 a bottle. |
