Seattle Dog Walkers & Vetrinarians... Hello all, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good reputable dog walker in Seattle. Specifically, one that will not pack my precious Bruce in a van with 15 other dogs of various sizes and turn him loose in a dog park without adequate supervision. Ideally I am looking for someone who could walk him 3 days a week for about 45 minutes, either by himself or with 1 other toy breed dog, someone who is loving and responsible, and cares about their clients. Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated. We are also looking for a new primary care vet in Seattle or on the eastside. I have had some serious disagreements with our vet, and I feel like Bruce has not recieved adequate care from her recently. Again any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated. |
I can't help you with the walker but I use Companion Animal Hospital: 1827 156th Ave NE; Bellevue 425-746-1800. (Just north of Crossroads Mall at 156th and Bel Red road). I have used them for my four cats for years and of course Gracie goes there now as well. They are very caring and take great care of my babies. If you decide to try them, please PM me and I will give you my name so you can tell them who referred you. |
I don't know of dog walkers but Elliott Bay Vets is excellent. Since my 13 yo. passed in on 1/23/07, I reflect and question the medications that were used. Anything they gave her, I would research on the internet. Twice I found reactions to certain drugs and that did not make me happy since she was fighting for her life. Vacillating between my current vet and Elliott Bay (which is highly recommended by my groomer and others) since I have rescued a 10 yo. Yorkie that does have health issues. My comfort level is with the old vet hospital (which is also highly rated), but sometimes it is better to start over again with a fresh approach. Compliments to you though for be proactive with your pup and medical care. Deborah - Seattle |
We use the Critter Doctor in Kirkland. Dr. Wendy is very caring and responsive if anything goes wrong. If I'm concerned about anything, which I was when our little girl was getting her shots and had a reaction, she will come to the phone to speak with you and explain what she is doing, prescribing or whatever, and why. She listens to your concerns. So, so far, I really like her. As far as dog walkers, we haven't had to hire someone yet as my husband is home during the day and he usually walks her. |
Thank you all for the reccomendations, I am researching each of those vets and when I pick one I will PM you so I can tell them who I was referred by. |
