Charlie and I live in Ballard, so we go to Bartell's, Home Depot, Lowes, Joannes, Fred Meyer on 85th because there isn't food stuff. I have taken him to Nordies, Macy's JC Penny's and there was a tea room in Ballard that you could bring your pup. Haven't tried to take him to WholeFoods or TraderJoes though. |
On the Town Dog Maybea gets to go with me to everywhere but work. (i'm workin on it!) I usually don't go to sit-down restaraunts or whatnot when i have her, and never been gutsy enough to go to the grocery store, but She goes into drug stores with me, LOVES to go to Michael's and Office Depot. Her favorite trip is to Paddywhack in Mill Creek (dog store) or Mud Bay in Bothell. Surprisingly, the Lake Stevens Target kicked us out when she was a pup. I was carrying her in a carrier- and she was just looking around sniffing the air. THey asked me to leave her in the car and i handed him my cart and said, "Nope, i'll go too." and left. I hate to be huffy, and I can understand if there's food around, but i mean, it's TARGET. I saw a dog at the Woodinville Target- so i think it's who is around that wants to enforce thre rules. |
I was also kicked out when shopping in the Redmond Target store. I used to take Kimchee to Michaels with me, but one time when I went to a store in Kirkland, the cashier said no dogs, I told her I had been taking dogs in that store, she said it was new rule there. I was just wondering if the new rule was just set up by her!? Anyway, no more Michaels shopping with my babies. Joanne Crafts, Home Depot are fine with dogs. I will take my babies with me if I need something quick. |
Yeah, we've gotten kicked out of Target before too. It just depends if the person that sees you likes you or not I think, though I guess it is corporate policy now to not allow dogs. The Seattle Home Depot (on Aurora) has a big sign that says No Dogs... |
Hi Seattle/Bellevue people! I'm here visiting from NJ and desperately miss my babies. I saw a couple walking their yorkie in Bellevue the other day and I wanted my daughter to stop the car so I could get a snuggle but she was afraid they would think I was trying to kidnap their baby. I miss mine so bad. Saturday we are doing the race for the Cure @ Quest Field I hope somebody has a yorkie there that I can borrow a snuggle from. Other than missing Bubba and Sissy, it is really beautiful here. |
How long will you be here? We can meet you in the downtown Bellevue park this weekend and you can have all the snuggles and kisses you can handle! Welcome to our little corner of paradise. Glad the weather is cooperating for you, it has been a long, cold, wet winter and spring. |
Parks, etc. I just moved to Mill Creek, WA with my yorkie from Houston, TX. I was wondering if anyone knew of any small dog parks in the area or other fun places to take my dog?? Houston was BOOMING with small dog only parks and other fun places for small dogs..and I havent been able to find anything to do with her up here in WA.... |
Welcome to WA! Quote:
Hi from Kirkland, WA. There is a yorkie meet up group meeting once a month in Bellevue (outdoor during summer time) or Shoreline (indoor during winter time). Check this out: Seattle/Eastside Yorkie Meetup! (Seattle, WA) - Meetup.com Hope you are enjoying the rain here, hehe. Just kidding! |
