Hi,

I am now settled in Seattle (was moning around a bit) and I have an 8 mo old Yorkie, Diva. I am very interested in getting her socialized with other Yorkies. She isn't sure about really big dogs but LOVES cats. So I want to have her sound more dogs. My boyfriend will be moving out to Seattle in June and he has a Boxer so I want Diva to be really comfortable with other dogs before they get here.

So if any one wants to get together some time that would be great. I have a huge fenced backyard so lots are welcome.

Whereabouts in Seattle? My daughter goes to U of WA and we will be driving her back on 3/25 when she comes home for spring break. It will be Tiger's first long trip so hopefully by then he will be trained to go outdoors . . . it is still a bit cold so wont be doing it until the first week of march.

I'm actually just North of the University. I hope the weather is nice in March. It was really nice this weekend but of course it is supposed to start raining here again.

Do you guys have snow of there?

Hi JP and Diva! We're just north of UW too. Yoda loves meeting new Yorkie playmates! :)

There's a fairly large Seattle Yorkie Meetup group, I think you may be a member, but they are meeting next Saturday. I probably won't be able to attend the next one though...

Hi!

I will plan on going to the Meetups in the future, but Diva is in heat. So we won't be going to this one. But hopefully we will meet soon!

We really had such a mild winter this year that it does not feel like winter at all, except for 2 occassions that happened within the same week in the beginning of December. . . so am not complaining . . . until today . . .woke up this AM to some flurries and now it is starting to get heavy and there is a build-up of white stuff on the ground :( Not good . . .

I am not from Seattle but will be going there on 3/25-3/26. Tiger loves to play with any dogs and he is happiest when he gets this chance. He has however never played with other yorkies so I know he would really love it. It would be nice if the 3 of us could get together, even for only an hour or so . . . . do you think this is even possible?

I too would like to meet other yorkie mommies!

Hello I am from Puyallup - 45 minutes North of Seattle. I attend all of the Yorkie playdates in Seattle and now there are playdates on the S. End in Tacoma if you are interested. Also, if you would like to do a one on one playdate send me a PM and we could meet in the middle, maybe the offleash dog park in Federal Way. Welcome to YT, you have found a great community and a wealth of information here!

Yay, Tiger would be so thrilled to play . . . 3/26 is best for me because I have my Dad with me on 3/25 which I need to drop off at the airport, among so many other things. Of course, if 3/25 is a better date for you, we can work on that too . . .heck anything for our yorkies right :) .

Also, I wonder if Yoda's mom can meet with us too. The more, the merrier . . . 3 dogs to roam free. Is your backyard fenced in? Tiger has never been out of the house without a leash so I am afraid he might just run amok and take off! He does that just within my living/dining room area. He runs crazy not looking where he is going that once he scraped his ear on one of my stone tables and he bled a bit and he did not even know what was going on . . . he still kept running on :D :D :D

Yipee :) :) :) . . . .now there's 3 of us getting together . . .how exciting! Cannot wait and so does Tiger! We canl PM each other as it gets closer so we can figure out what is best for everyone!

That sounds great. And yes, my yard is fully fenced. Diva has a great time exploring the whole thing! I am not yet brave enough to tel her out there without supervision so I am always with her.
