I just want to reach into the screen and pinch one , they are sooo cute !!!:Pawprint::Pawprint: | Hi. I think they have the same variation in size as Yorkies. As you have seen many times here in YT, some Yorkies are large and some are very tiny and some are inbetween.
Biewers are fairly new to the U.S., first imported in 2003. Breeders are finding that within the same litters pups can be tiny and large and inbetween. It's been a very interesting experience trying to get a handle on size and we are seeing a wide range.
That being said, IMO, I've seen the trend to breed Yorkies smaller in the U.S. than they do in Europe. From what I've seen, European Yorkies are generally larger and stronger structured than what we are seeing here in general. So because Biewers came from European stock and derived from Yorkies, this is why we are seeing a variance in size. At least that's my guess.
Temperament wise and personality wise, I find Biewers to be the same as Yorkies . . .having both breeds; they are all free thinkers and individuals in personality and are independent one minute and love bug lap loungers the next. lol
Can you tell I'm hooked? :) |
