I was just wondering if there is anyone on this site from Olympia Wa or close by, maybe we could have our Yorkies play together.

Hi there! I live in Olympia and am the proud owner of a 4 pound little Yorkie girl. :aimeeyork She is 4-1/2 yrs old and just a little sweet heart. We got her in September of 2007. So we have only had her a few months. It's nice to know that there is another Yorkie owner here that is actually in my city :)

Hi there finally I found someone this is great! Well my little Chewy is 6 1/2 months old and is 4 lbs so I am thinking he will not get much bigger from what other's have told me little dogs stop growing around 7-8 months but I am not really sure but I am sure he will not be over 6lbs. This is my first Yorkie that I have ever had and I am just loving it I have found a Yorkie Meet Up that will be March 15 in Seattle and I believe there is one in Tacoma the same day but they have not posted where the meet will be. We will have to get together sometime and have our little angels play together. Take care

I would love to see pictures of your little guy:)

My Yorkie girl loves to play with other dogs, though I am not sure she has ever had a chance to play with a pup that isn't 3 or 4 times bigger than her! :aimeeyork

I have seen that there are Yorkie meet-ups as close as Tacoma but it's further than I wanted to go.

I'm so glad you are enjoying your angel:animal36 .

Thats not to far away, so how old is Chester and do you know of any meet up places to take small dogs too the only ones I have found are up North Seattle etc. I think there is one in Puyallup also, we should get together and start having once a month play time for our children or get a meet up started.

Hello Polly and mom how are you doing? Well Chewy is 9 1/2 months old and when I took him to Pets Smart today he was 4lbs and then there are days he's 4.2, 4.3,4.1 so I think I am safe saying he's 4 lbs. How is your little girl doing, some day we will have to meet and let the children play. I live over by the Rainier Vista Park off Ruddell, where's your location. Do you recommend a gromer I have not found one yet I have just been giving Chewy once a week baths and cutting his hair but I believe it's time to get a really haircut so I have been looking around but I have not found anyone that I feel comfortable with. Hope to hear from you soon.

chester is lmost 6 yrs old and he is a studly 9 lbs, I do not know of any place for them to play

Sooo so so sorry I havn't logged on in so awful long. Iwas just wondering how
Chewy and you were doing and realized that you had posted to me.:eyeballpc

It would be really cool to try arranging a little play date for Chewy and Polly. I am familiar with the area you are talking about. I do get over to that area occasionally, although I live waaaay on the other side of Olympia, almost to Mason County.

Polly just got her hair cut and she looks like a Rat terrier now. :rolleyes: Maybe I shouldn't have asked them to cut it too short.
Oh well, good for hot weather.

I take her to the groomer that is closest to my house, it is called Steamboat Groomers. They are very very nice ladies. And experienced too.

Well hello good to hear from you. How is Polly doing? Chewy is doing great turns 1 this month and is 4.5 lbs. I love the short hair look I did that to Chewy and everyone at home was shocked but it is great for when it's hot. His hair is already long, so time for another cut. We are going to the Kent dog model show on Aug 31 I'm so excited Chewy is one of the models for the runway show how exiting is that. I have decided to bath and groom Chewy myself after doing alot of research on groomers and what they do (expose the anual glads) which I hear is not good for the small dogs and that we should have our vet do that only if nessecery. So I found this place called dirty paws and I get to bath him and groom him and use all of there items for 10.00 so I do that once a month and bath once a week at home, I just love it. We will have to get these two together to play soon. Hope to hear from you again. Enjoy the summer and great weather we are having which to tell you the truth is too hot for when it gets over 80 degrees.

Polly is good, thanks! She turned 5 in April.

I had not heard that it was bad for small dogs to to get thier anal glands expressed, I thought that it was a neccissary thing:confused:

That is really exciting about Chewy being in a show! Wow... you must be so proud of your little guy!

Polly just won "Cutest Dog" in the pet parade this morning. I sewed her and my 10 year old daughter matching Dorothy costumes. My son was dressed as a munchkin and I made him a giant lollipop to hold. It was so much fun. I thought sure she would be the smallest dog there, but she wasn't. Some chi's had her beat in size.

Yes, the 80's around here is just too humid. Ick Ick Ick.

Hi there I have recieved your notification to add you as a friend and I have no idea how to do this it keeps telling me that I can not. I am so sorry to hear that Chewy is not well:(

I havn't heard back about the yorkie puppies yet, I will try to contact them again.
