Kandie is not feeling well..could it be PARVO! This morning before heading to work I noticed some icky red mucus on the floor so I thought ok maybe one of my furbabies had the runs or maybe cough up something... Well coming home today to find a nasty site...slimy brown and red spots all over the tiles and wall plus vomit on their bed...(i keep them in the bathroom while at work)...as i picked up each and every one to see who is making the mess...i noticed Kandie in the corner shaking and her anal was cover in blood.... She is pooping bright red blood and vomiting...my first instinct is to grab her and head to the vet...got there only to realize that they close at noon on Wednesday...just my luck...so I drive around trying to locate another vet which I had no luck with...I gave up and went home to open the phone book... I called up the vet and she gave me 2 scenario.. 1) PARVO 2) something she ate My heart was pounding and I started asking about PARVO and what I need to do. Then I asked if she has it then why are my other 3 dogs running around like normal...she was just fine yesterday...then I remember that on Sunday i let her out ...and the night before my little sister had a birthday party and she threw a bbq...and I was chasing Kandie around the backyard because she was finding little bits and pieces of what was tossed on the grass and was eating it. So we cleaned up the backyard...and being that it was a nice day we let them play outside for an hour or so. When it was time to come back in...I noticed that 3 of the trashbags were torned apart and who knows what she had ate from them.. I am praying that all it is an upset stomach...and not parvo. But I can't be sure until tomorrow when I can take her to the vet...as for right now...I am monitoring her and making sure she gets enough liquid so she doesn't dehydrate. But have to keep her away from my other 3 in case it is PARVO. |

a dog usually doesnt have bloody poop if they ate something that upsets the stomach it may be soemthing to do with her stomach itself take her to the vet they can feel and tell and check her out |

I had a friend whose puppy had pravo... the situation kind of went.. Day one ... fine Day two ... AM - Throwing up LUNCH - Bloody runs PM - Throwing up water, literally everytime he drank it came back up again I took him to the vets for her and he said he was overly dehydrated... I'm not saying it's not Parvo but with my friends puppy he was fine one day and over the period of a day he got sick and then quickly sicker and sicker. I'd get your little one to the vets and I hope it isn't Parvo. Good luck |

How's Kandie doing now? If she gets worse during the night I would get her in to the ER vet. They dehydrate so fast. Keep us posted. |

Sending get well wishes and hugs to Kandi :ghug:. |

Can't you take her to an emergency vet? Parvo is very serious and if not caught and treated quickly you may loose her. Praying all is well for her. |

Wishing all the best for you and your baby. I hope you are able to get her in soon. Things can get bad so fast.:( |

One day after lunch, my aunt's yorkie jumped on the chair and got onto the dining table and snuck a little chunk of blue cheese. Well, she ended up with bloody stools like crazy and vomitting, so it could definitely be something she ate. They took her to the vet immediately...I'm not sure what all they did, but I remember my aunt was super scared for her little yorkie. I'm praying for your furbaby. That must be so scary!! |
