She IS a very good dog. We actually went to the breeder's house expecting to buy a red merle but fell in love with Stormie's blue-merle coloring. And yes, she is very smart but we're having some training issues only because the neighbor's dog (actually the neighbor is Craig's uncle) is allowed to roam the countryside and manages to tempt Stormie away from her area occasionally. It really irks me when people aren't responsible dog owners and it causes other dogs to have to be "punished". Stormie considers it punishment when she has to be put on her tie-out but that only has to be done if we know Bella (the other dog) is roaming and Craig is not at home to keep an eye on Stormie. Stormie is a great cattle herder though! The other week Craig's uncle called him to tell him to look out in the pasture. Stormie had the entire herd in a tight circle for absolutely no reason. She can be a little zealous but it was funny. Did you see this baby picture of her on Dogster?? How can you resist that face?? And the one above in the thread is her with her arm around one of the cats. Precious! |
Stormie is beautiful... what a gorgeous coat and markings... Thats one pretty girl!:D |
Stormie is beautiful!!! |
HAHAHAHAHAHAH ON THE CATTLE - that's so funny ...so she 'works' just for the fun of it LOL and I wondered what was in that picture...she MUST be a great dog if she's hugging a kitty...that's pretty amazing in itself. Your pictures are great - I enjoyed them and didn't know you even HAD cattle |

LOL, oh yeah, we HAVE cattle..... but do I, personally, work the cattle..... heck no! My girls love helping Daddy and his uncle work them though (they are all on family property between our house and his). In fact, they spent several hours vaccinating them this weekend. Good ol' country girls! :D Our daughters, 11 & 13 years, are finally starting 4H this year and will show their cows in the '08 Fair. It'll be interesting. I'm sure I'll be learning way more about these cows than I really care to. ;) Thanks everyone for the compliments on Stormie! Craig is very proud of her (as, of course, we all are). |
Oh Angie.....girl, she is so cute!!! We requested her to be pals!! :D |
She is a beautiful dog |
oh how sweet! She hugging a kitty :) I love aussies, they're so loving & intelligent! Is she a mini or just a pup? |
Thanks everyone! Raja's mom.... she's still pretty young but she's about 35 pounds or so now. Her hair was pretty short in those pictures but we've decided since then to not cut her hair again. I really like the look of males a little more because their hair gets so full and long. She's such a sweet girl! And yes, she LOVES her kitty sisters! |
