We could've done surgery, but at her age it probably wouldn't have helped. When we went to put her down the vet said she thought it might be cancer too. Hopefully you'll have a better ending to this than Misty. Your baby is in my prayers. |
Thanks everyone!
I am afraid that Luke may end up being put to sleep! :cry8: In fact, my daughter and I talked about it today. She was saying that she didn't think these new pills were working and I told her that I knew and that he only had one more pill that he could try! She knows, we know....that it may and more than likely will come down to that.
It is soooo sad though, he is only 3 yrs old, so young! We know that he is in MAJOR pain because he has lost so much weight. Sometimes, he will eat and drank and sometimes he won't. We have told ourselves that it would be better for him in the long run (and if there is nothing else) because that way, he will be out of pain! --I guess that would be the only plus for that!
Thanks again everyone! We have a few more days of these pills and then a week of nothing before we go to the vet again. - I guess she wanted to give his system a rest before starting something new. When we go in, I will ask all about the hip replacement....any options for it, etc. I am doing online research too, but haven't had much luck!
Please keep Luke in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks everyone! |
