Names for a furgirl Well, Ginger may be getting a sister. She's an adorable little 3 year old terrier mix (yorkie? schnauzer? who knows) with a sweet personality. She's got some health issues, so right now it's a wait and see situation while she's being treated. BUT...we are keeping are hopes up and checking on her frequently... in case she gets to come home with us, I need a girlie name that works with Ginger... any ideas??? |
Could go with a Giligan's Island theme and do MaryAnne and Ginger? I'm thinking of getting a Yorkie sister for Gracie, and may call her Gabby (short for Gabrielle). Gabby would be a good name for a mix too! |
You could go with another spice -- Cinnamon, Rosemary, Pepper, Sage, Poppy ..... but I did like the previous suggestion of MaryAnn -- I watched all those Gilligan's Island shows as a kid! The only other thing that keeps popping into my head is Snaps. :) |
thanks! All of your ideas are cute! I had actually thought of the Gilligan thing, Maryann, but that just seems like such a long name for such a little dog...I'm afraid I start calling her mary or annie or something. Pepper is really cute...she's mostly black and tan, but seems to have some white sprinkled in here and there. I also like Poppy, but I tend to call Ginger "ginger-pop" alot, so that might be confusing. Gabby's cute, it's one I never thought of. Keep em comin! |
What about another cookie name? Snicker Doodle=Snickers or Doodle Sugar Spritz Oatmeal Raisin=Rae or something with Rae in it-Sweet Baby Rae? Chocolate Chip=Coco Monster Cookie=Monster  Sugar 'n' Spice=Clove(r) Or, what about just Cookie? You could also go with the "Ginger" as something "spicy" and call the new pup something in that theme: Red Belle Pepper=Belle or Pepper Lil' Hot Sauce=Cayenne Dash o' Hot Sauce=Tabasco or Tabby, Tabitha, Dash Zing or Zingy Bamboo Shoot=Bambi? Ok..I'm stretching it now! |
