We may be getting a boxer

It will be a few months. But, we may be taking my son's boxer. He is going through a divorce right now and is getting ready to put his place on the market after christmas and we told him that if he couldn't find anything else where he could keep Ramy that we would take him for however long we needed to keep him.

He is wonderful with yorkies, my son also has a yorkie as well. Of course he may change his mind and decide that he can't part with him. We told him not to worry about it, if he needed us to help him out we would.

Here are a few pictures of him. He is a great dog. This is a picture of him and Mollie when she was about 9 months old. I know I have more of him, I'm just going to have to find them. But, you can see him real well in this picture.

So what do you guys think?

I LOVE Boxers. If you were getting a puppy boxer that hadn't been around Yorkies I would be nervous, but if he's been around your yorkie a lot I think it's great.

Not just mine. But, my son has had a yorkie for the last 4 years and no problems whatesoever.

I love boxers! Eventually I want to get a big dog. I had a great dane who had to be put down and I muss having a big boy around. When I do get a big dog I want an orange boxer with a black mask! So cute!

I boxers!! He is so cute. I used to have 2 of them..and they both honestly thought they were lap dogs...UGH!! the big horses..LOL other than the "i am tiny, no matter what the scale says" thing..they are great dogs! :D

He most definitely thinks he is a lap dog. I told our son that we would keep him if we have to for how ever how long or short of amount of time that he needed us to. That he will always be his dog no matter what. He is getting pretty old I think he is around 8 but, Jamie says he still moves pretty good just has a hard time getting up first thing.

Loves to play frisbee. He will play until you get tired.

You won't regret it. Boxers are really good with yorkies. They are such kind gentle, HONEST spirited dogs. Sending hugs :ghug: to your son and prayers upward that all goes well with him during this difficult time. Prayers for you too!

Playing frisbee at 8..that is awesome! I am sure your son greatly appreciates you helping him out. If he can't keep Ramy..that would be a hard decision to make, but I know if I couldn't take care of my pet, who else to give them to but my mom...can't beat that! :D

how cute! I just love watching the big calmer dogs interact with the little ones... my Laci(lab) is like a totally different dog when she is near Hope.. almost like she "tip toes" around her..... how cute!

They are beautiful dogs and he is gorgeous.I have a lady here that breeds and shows them.Nice dogs!!
