Please say a prayer for my Mom
 
:cry: I cannot stop crying for my mom right now. My mom just had to put her cocker spanial, Lady, down. Lady developed a condition were her body would absorb her own blood over the weekend. My parents took her to TX A&M this morning (top notch vets) as recommend by her regular vet, and they advised that it would cost almost $8,000 to try to save her and her chances were very slim. The vets advised that they could give Lady shots of meds that would only help for a day or two and than she would crash again. My mom just could not let Lady suffer. My mom is pretty upset and now she is worried about how this is going to effect her other dog, Sophie. My sisters and I just ordered her a large vase full of flowers to help her feel better. Hope Lady is healthy now and playing with all the special furbabies that crossed the Rainbow Bridge before her.

Things like this are never easy to deal with. I'll pray for you and your mom. I remember when my mom's dog died, I think I cried as much as she did. I hope my Chester is there to welcome her at Rainbow Bridge.

Thanks Ya'll. My dad has already called me to see if he should go get her a puppy. I told him do not do that right know, and if she wants a new pup she will tell you when it is the right time. He just wants her to stop crying. He does not like it when he cannot fix something or when one of his girls are crying.

Aww... my dad is the same way.... that's so sweet that he wants so badly to make things better - dad's always want to 'fix' everything don't they.

I'm so sorry for your mom's loss - making that decision is such a horrible feeling, even when you know it's the best thing. You're right though - she needs some time to grieve before bringing home a new puppy to make new memories with.

Oh, I'm praying for your mom...I know it's a tough time for her. That was sweet of y'all to get her flowers. And it's sweet of your dad to want to fix it for her, but you're right...it's not the time yet. Maybe soon she'll want another, but not yet.

Jack and I are feeling the pain your parents are going through now as well as yourself and your sister, your Mother was Lady's best friend in the decision she made, it is the toughest one to make but the wisest and kindest so that Lady didn't linger and suffer. (((((((((( to your Mom)))))))))))))))We had to give back our precious Cassie last November to the Lord for his forever keeping, I hope in time your parents will see to get another one to love, God has an abundant supply here on earth that need loving homes and maybe there is a little one out there that he is longing to place in your Mothers arms and enjoy Sophie too. She will know when the time is right. Keeping them and you in our prayers. I pray that your mom can feel in her heart that Lady is now giving the Lord tons of licks and thanking him for the wonderful family he placed her with here on earth.

Let your mom know that we are all thinking about her and saying a little prayer for her. These little ones play such important roles in our lives. It helps her that you care and understand so much.
