Ears won't go up!!! 3 Attachment(s) I thought this would be cute to post. People here at YT are always talking about their yorkies' ears not going up and most people don't have that problem with cats, cats have their ears up naturally. He is my cat Oreo, she is a little bigger now then in the picture but she still looks the same. And yes she has a mustache!! And yes her ears are down and have never gone up!! The last picture is blurry, my camera was going bad. I got her from the neighbor last year, I am thinking she has a scottish fold somewhere in her lines but there is no way of telling. The mother cat looks very similar to Oreo except she is bigger and has long hair, but she is the same color with the folded ears. And the mother cat was a stray that my neighbor took in so my neighbor got a unique cat for free and so did I!! Anyways, I think she is so cute and very unique!!!:2hearts2: |
Looks part Scottish fold to me. i have been wantign a triple fold scottish fold for YEARS:) |
Your cat is adorable! I love the "floppy" ears! |
I love the floppy ears too! |
This is a first for me and I thought I've seen it all. Never have seen a cat whose ears don't stand - and he is sooooo sweet looking. Lucky you! Thanks for sharing! :o) |
I love the name!!! So perfect. Your cat is absolutely adorable. She looks like a miscevous little kitten :) |
LOL that's so cute. |
I Love My Oreo!! Thanks for the compliments!! Yes, she is quite an active one. She is getting spayed next week which does not seem soon enough, she is driving me crazy since she keeps going in heat!! She does the cuttest thing. We have a coffee table and it is a mirror. She will jump up on the coffee table and while looking down in the mirror she will chase her tail. She will go in circles and since she does not look up, she just looks in the mirror to chase her tail, she will end up falling off the coffee table. It is so funny to watch!! She is a really good cat, she even gets along with the dogs great and I enjoy her all the time!! She is the best free cat I have ever gotten!! |

Here's an interesting link http://www.cfa.org/breeds/profiles/scottish.html |
How cute, i never saw a cat with there ears down, very cute, i remember when we first got Harley, he had one ear down and one ear up for the longest time, i wish i can find those pictures, he was so cute, then one day it just went back up like the other one...:) |
That is a great link!! I am thinking the mother cat is purebred Scottish fold, she has all the characteristics of a scottish fold. My neighbor found her wandering the streets so she took her in. I know the kittens she had, Oreo and her littermates, are not purebred because they are mixed with a regular domestic tom cat. But Oreo still has alot of the same characteristics of a Scottish Fold, she even has the really big eyes and she is alot more Scottish Fold then she is a domestic short hair. I took Oreo to get Spayed thursday and I picked her up on friday. I guess the vet assistants and staff have never seen a scottish fold. The vet assistanst said "at first we thought Oreo was really mean because of her ears down and her eyes big and wide open, but then we realized that she was not mean, she was rather a real sweetheart and the eyes and ears are her normal apperance." I thought that was cute, but I have heard alot of people think that they are mean because of the way they look. To me they look sweet and innocent but I guess to others they look mean. |
