Trying not to worry! I took my cat Callie (Rocky's partner in crime) to the vet for her routine check up and annual shots. Well, Callie has not been holding down her food and she has vomited the red foam stuff pretty regular over the past 2-3 months. Well, she has went from 9lb cat to a 6lb cat, and you can feel her spine and hips pretty good. Anyways the vet drew blood to run some times, and I am suppose to get results any minute now, and I so worried that she is going to have feline leukemia. I have had my Callie for 10 years come this January, and I don't know what I will do if she is sick. I love her so much and she has become Rocky's best friend. I just hurts me to think how lonely Rocky will be if I have to make that horrible decision to send her to the angels. Please say a little prayer for my baby kitty! |
:cat: Will keep you in my prayers. I had a Callie for 13 years (Calico cat) and it was very hard when she departed. Hoping for the best. Keep us posted. |
I will be praying for Callie and you. My 8 yr old cat had a lump removed and fortunately he has been fine since. I know the worry you are going thru. My thoughts are with you. |
Hope your baby is o.k.! Prayers and happy thoughts going up for you and your kitty! I hope everything comes out o.k. in the tests! |
Test Results are back! My kitty is going to be okay. She has Inflamed Bowel Disease (inflamed intestine), which can be controlled with a anti-inflammatory med and special diet. Test results also showed the enzeyme levels in her pancreas where slightly elevated because of the bowel disease. The Vet said that she will be on the meds and special diet the rest of her life. There is a downside to all of this, of course. The inflamed bowel diesease according to the vet will eventually cause pancreatic and liver disease, but he said not worry because in most cases the animal lives a normal happy life many many years. Callie and I thank all of your for your thoughts and prayers. |
Such good news! So glad your kitty is going to be o.k. and that her problems can be treated. Cats are funny critters but bring us such joy and happiness. We want them to be happy and healthy just like our other fur babies. I know this is a huge relief to you...glad it was good news! |
