What pretty horses and what a pretty place you have.

My horses are still in the corral from winter. I have plenty of hay left, and the deer and tree limbs have broken the pasture fence, so I have to fix that before we move them to the pasture for the summer.

Well you certainly have a managere. They sure keep one busy.

I've done alot of rescue work and beleive it or not there is a story behind all of my animals except my yorkies. They are the only two I've adopted for the sole reason of just wanting them. The two horses were rescues. The white one he is an appaloosa mix and was bone skinny when we got him He is still underweight but is looking much better. Ozzy the palomino..hes a quarter mix and he was still healthy but full of worms and was living in a bad condition. Two socks her mom was a stray that had kittens and she was the only one that we got to stay and join our family. It wasn't easy but we were persistent. Patches was another stray we took in. We've got two socks fixed but as you see didn't get patches fixed in time. And she's an inside cat so we thought we had time but she got out and we were surprised to discover her nice and fat one day. So she is getting fixed after she weans these babies. Lucy..my mom bought her and was planning on breeding her. Well my mom works all the time and realized she didn't have the time..so she brought her over and she's been here ever since. Tyra I seen her on an add and she is five years old going blind and the lady was trying to sell her as a breeding dog. So I payed $250. and brought her home. I was planning on finding her a home but her eyes are worse and I am afraid she won't do well losing her eyesight then being sent to another home. So we ae going to keep her. comet which i'll show her pic with this post..she was on her way to the pound when my daughter begged me to save her. Or rather help her save her so we did. Some have come from really bad conditions and bad situations but i'll spare you those stories. Here is comet.

Thank you. I must admit between food and vet bills alone it's alot but I am lucky to be able to do this and enjoy them. I think it's good for the kids. Which is why we ended up with two rescue horses. My oldest daughter was going through alot. I won't go in to details but her counselor and I thought it would be good for her to work with an animal that needed to be helped through a difficult time. And I have to say the horse and my daughter have done a complete turn around. Sometimes when your hurting it helps to help those that are hurting because it makes you feel better all the way around. Rescue work isn't for everyone but it has done wonders for our family including the animals that have now become our family. And to be honest with you if I could afford it and had the time I'd take in a hundred more lol..
