This is Oscar's new brother... 3 Attachment(s) This is Auggie. He is an 11 month old American Bulldog. He already weighs 96 pounds and won't fully mature until he is 2 or 3 years old. Oscar does not want a thing to do with him either! Auggie lives outside in a large kennel during the day and a large yard at night. Sharing his space (in fenced confines) are 11 chickens, 1 guinea, 2 goats and a pregnant Welsh Pony! We have a regular farm here! Here is a pic of Auggie. His eyes will throw you but he is really a sweet dog! |
Congratulations on your new addition.!! Sounds like a lot of fun at your house ! Hope everyone learns to get along well. Good Luck ! :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
Oh my GOSH!! He's gorgeous!! Is he the pregnant Welsh pony? Just kidding!! :p Congrats, sweetie! |
No Silly... 1 Attachment(s) THIS is the pregnant Welsh Pony...we named her Fancy. We are afraid she was abused in the past. She is 8 years old and VERY head shy...we have a lot of work to do with her! |

It was sad the way we got Auggie. He was living with a family in Arizona as a house dog. They bought a new house and for some reason did not find out that the new subdivision had restrictions on pet size until after closing. They could not have a dog over 40 pounds...so Auggie had to go. He went back to the breeder in Georgia and he let us have him...we love him. Dewaine wanted another big dog and he is great protection out there for the other animals...maybe he will keep those old bad varmits away! |

Wow...Debbie he is one good looking boy! I can understand what happened with his first owners. Some of the CC&R's of these new housing sub divisions is beyond belief and you don't realize the control they have until sometimes it's too late. We almost bought a house that would have limited us to 1 dog and 1 cat but luckily I ran across that little clause before we commited. I am sure his previous owners were heart broken to have to get rid of him but in this case their loss was definitely your gain! Congrats and have fun with him. I predict that Oscar will come around with time... |

My BIL has one of those dogs and her name is Lola! She scares me half to death bc she is HUGE! One wrong move and she could take my head off, not that I think that she would do it but Im just not a big dog person! Your guy is a cutie though! |
They are just big ole puds! Quote:

Wow, Deb, that's so awesome about the chicken! I had a collie shepherd mix once that just loved chickens! I came home one day to a yard full of white feathers and a very tired and satiated dog. Dang... You are right, you DO have a GOOD DOG!! |
Congratulations. Auggie is a cutie. Fancy is very cute also. TY for sharing the pics. |
