Update on Captain Jack 4 Attachment(s) So it's been 4 days now and he's still missing. He's so gorgeous I wouldn't put it past someone around here to pick him up and keep him. But who knows. :( I miss him so much. I'm not a tough cookie when it comes to my babies, I've cried every night. Here is the only picture of him from this past fall that is in my photobucket. And some kitten pics. I can't get my photoshop to work to resize my uber cute most recent pictures. I love him sooo much. |
Please, don't give up on Captain Jack. Kittys sometimes get wanderluster and go off on "secret missions" known only to them. We had a Chow-Chow once (she has passed over the rainbow bridge) that would "go for walks" in the neighborhood. Although she wasn't allowed in the unfenced front yard, sometimes she would slip out. The first time she was gone for 10 days, the second time for 3 days. After the second time she somehow knew that if she turned to the left or right at the end of our street she would get lost, so she would go to the end of the block, cross the street and them come back on the other side. LOL She was a hoot, I loved Sassy, and still miss her tremendously after 10 years! Come home Captain Jack, your mamma is missing you! |

That's very encouraging. I'm trying so hard not to give up. I walk the neighborhood everyday calling for him and looking. I take my lab (the dog in the last pic) with me b/c he stands attention to every sound he hears. I have this gut feeling he is OK, I just pray he comes home soon or if someone has him they call. Sasha (his momma) goes in the yard and looks around and looks at me like, "where's my baby?" It's so sad. |
I so want Captain Jack comes home. I don't care for kitty's but I like him and a few other's I've seen here...Maybe I'll get me a kitty like that one day... :( |
So sorry to here this.I will pray that he makes his way home. Heather |
Oh, I hope he makes his way home, I have had a cat my entire life, always been a cat person, and Captain Jack is beautiful, I pray he comes home. :( |
I HOPE he comes home soon - he's stunning ....cats are known wanderers - he may have a girlfriend ? Keeping my fingers crossed for you ....I know it's so hard not knowing where he is..... :( |
I had a cat that was gone for 2 weeks one time. Don't give up hope! |
You're guys encouraging comments really help me. I'm still holding out hope that he's holing up somewhere at someone else's home. And I have heard that even though they're fixed, sometimes males still wander if a female is in heat. So there is no telling. My gut tells me he is OK, wherever he is though. And until I get that bad gut feeling, I'm going to keep believing he's OK. It's really tough seeing his momma though and cuddling with her and not knowing where he is. |
I am so sorry your little Captain Jack is missing :( . It is so true though...about them being wanderers. I grew up in Alabama and we lived in the middle of nowhere...I mean NOWHERE. I was used to our animals being gone for several days at a time. Sure, there was always concern after a few days, but they would always come home. Once my cat stayed gone for a week and a half and just came running in the house one day when we opened the door. A time after that, a new dog in the area spooked her and she didn't come back for a week. Just don't give up hope. Cats are pretty good with a natural instinct to protect and provide for themselves whether they're house cats or not. I'll be praying that Cap. Jack comes back home. |
